CHAPTER 19

BEYONCÉ POV

As I teach my class for the night I worry that such a rash quick decision I made will mess me up yet again. But today is the last class before they take their exam, and I hope they all pass.

"Yo Ms. Knowles?"
"....Yes, Trey?"
"Are you ready to see me finally pass this exam?"
"I've been ready! You've been my student for years, it's time to finally move on and upgrade from Wendy's"

"You worked at Wendy's this entire time and didn't tell no one! I love Wendy's!" Tracey semi shouts making us all laugh

"So for the exam we all expect the baconator with fries and a frosty" I say hyping everyone up as they say their order to him making him laugh

"Ms. Knowles look what you done started, sounds to me you like living dangerously"
"So I've been told" I say smiling back then tell everyone how we need to go back to our original topic; what they're gonna do with their GED.

With class over everyone heads out but Trey.
"Let me drive you home"
"No thank you Trey, I keep telling you"

He continues to stand there with his hands in his pocket, "what's wrong?"

"I-I don't know what I'm going to do now that this exam is here. I'm very prepared for it and have a better understanding of these questions. But what I'mma do after. My GED is just gonna be a paper, nothing gonna change like my mom said"

"Okay Trey, yes it is a paper. But it's based on how you use that paper. Let it open up doors for you Trey. Try college, go for a trade, go for something great; because you are great"

"Thanks Ms. Knowles, I appreciate that.... Just like I appreciate the other night. I needed to get my anger out" he says chuckling making me roll my eyes

"Boy, like I said one time and one time only"
"I know, and I thank you for it. Something I got to mark off my bucket list" he says smirking

"Get home safe Ms. Knowles" he says and walks out the classroom as I put my books in my bag

I hear the door go again, and this time I just look up seeing Megan.

"Sooooo.....you broke him off some" she says smirking
"Girl"
"Don't girl me, I heard......I'm not bad if that's what you're wondering...I have no right to be"

I nod my head cause she right she don't have no reason or right to be upset.

"Whose better him or me?"
"I'm not doing this with you" I say covering my face embarrassed
"I just want to know. Whose better him or me?" She says stepping closer to me as she slowly puts her hand on my waist

I chuckle looking down. "You. No one knows me or my body better than you"

She smiles at me then give me a kiss very close to my lips. "I better be.....now let's go, Kaution's excited to see you" she says

We leave out the building and there her car is with her driver Frank who has one of the back doors open playing with Kaution.

"Hey Frank. Hey Baby girl" I say then end it by smiling at Kaution as she smiles brightly at me

Raising her arms up at me as if she's calling for me; I give Frank a side hug and then grab both her hands giving them a kiss.
"How's my Kaution? How are you?" I say as she giggles

I give her a kiss on the forehead then get into the car,  Megan follows after sitting extra close to me as I sit close to Kaution since she wouldn't let go of my finger.
