"Sorry, Y/n."

Y/n glanced at Jiwoo as he carefully zipped up the brand new Shinwa jacket that had been given to him. A confused expression formed on Y/n's face, his brows furrowing in deep thought. It was evident that Jiwoo's concerned gaze was directed towards Y/n, and it became clear that his worries were not solely for him, but rather for the safety of Subin.

Having been a witness to the immense and intimidating power that Y/n possessed, Jiwoo couldn't help but question the safety of Subin engaging in a sparring match with him. The uncertainty hung in the air, casting a shadow of doubt over the approaching match.

Jiwoo scolded himself internally, recognizing the grave error he had made. He had a deep understanding of the rule that one should never underestimate another awakened, a lesson he had learned from his own experiences and the foolish mistake made by all his previous opponents.

However, he couldn't shake off the nagging feeling that his suspicions regarding the vast difference in power between Y/n and Subin were indeed accurate. Rumors had reached his ears, talking about Subin Lee's affiliation with "the four" - a prestigious group of talented young awakeners who surpassed their peers at the awakened academy.

"I thought you wouldn't have to fight if I brought you here..." Jiwoo looked up at Y/n with guilt in his eyes as he expressed his regret, believing that if he hadn't brought them to this place, they wouldn't be in the midst of a fight.

He couldn't help but feel responsible for the entire situation, convinced that it was all his fault and that none of it would have occurred if he hadn't been involved.

"Don't worry about me--someones got to put this bitch in her place."

"Y/n, that's not nice. Just because she caused a little bit of trouble, doesn't mean she's not nice."

The pureblood glanced at Jiwoo, making the other boy break into a sweat. "You have to be kidding me, Jiwoo, today is the second time she's started something with us. And, I'm going to go through this no matter what, so don't feel bad."

"...you don't have to fight."

Both teens looked towards the door-half expecting to see Inhyuk standing there, but the sight of Mr. Park catches them off their guard.

"Mr. Park!?" The shortest of the three exclaimed.

"I'm sorry for getting you two into this weird situation."

This caused Y/n to raise his brow. None of this even involved him. It had all been the work of a persistent teenager who didn't take no for an answer. If anything, they should thank him for just putting up with her.

"I've just told Subin. She won't bother you from now on." He explained further.

"Really?" Jiwoo happily exclaimed. He looked between the other two in the room with him ecstatically. "But..." He began, his previous smile dropping, "...She seemed like an unstoppable kid."

Mr. Park shamefully looked to the ground, "T-that's true...", he stuttered.

"It doesn't matter."

"What?" Mr. Park said, bringing his eyes level with Y/n's stern ones.

"I'd rather get this over with now than later. And it's like Jiwoo said, it doesn't look like she'll give in anytime soon."

The air was dense between the two teens standing in the center of Shinwa's sparing room. The five bystanders stood off to the side. Inhyuk and Mr. Park were ready to break apart the fight when necessary while Jiyoung, Wooin, and Jiwoo stand by to spectate.
