AUTUMN

As my shoes landed down on the ground, I started to feel the pain on my foot. My injury triggered when I used the technique. After the ball rolled down on the ground, I heard the loud yell of students outside the gym court as well as the voice of my team members.

Cradience quickly checked my foot without saying anything. He only focuses his attention on my injury without even giving me a glance.

"He has an injury? But how did he do it even he's in pain?" Dart asked in disbelief. My lips formed a wide smirk as it followed by my wink.

"Hindi ninyo kaya 'yon. Auvinumn lang malakas!" Tritus shouted. Dart shot a death glare to him but Tritus only continued insulting him.

"Stop your Auvinumn act, you have to be healed as soon as possible," Cradience calmly said without looking at me. He placed my arm on his shoulder as he assisted me to stand up by supporting my weight.

"Medic, medic!" Tritus shouted. The medical team assigned in volleyball ran towards here as they put me on the white folding bed.

"We can't treat Mister Therental here in clinic. We will head him over now to hospital. Mayroon ba siyang relatives dito o kung sino na puwedeng sumama?" paliwanag ng nars ng eskuwelahan habang hawak ang medical records niya. Paniguradong mayroon siyang ibang records na may kaso ng ganitong injury.

"I will—"

"Ako na ang bahala, Cradience. Ako ang coach dito sa volleyball," Coach Hermes insisted. Cradience clenched a fist as he turned away. He really wants to come and help me. Minsan hindi ko rin maintindihan ang lalaking ito. Gusto ako tulungan pero mang-iinsulto siya pagkatapos. Magulo siyang kasama at marami siyang alam sa mga bagay-bagay.

Tritus tapped Cradience's arm as if he's saying that everything will be fine.

"Hindi pa mamamatay si Auvinumn, Cradience. Ayos lang 'yan. Ang mabuti pa ilibre mo kami ng pagkain. Nagugutom na ako." Bigla naman akong napangiti dahil sa sinabi ng bata. Akala ko naman kung pagagaanin niya ang loob nito. Lalo pa niyang pinalala. Lalong sumama ang timpla ni Cradience dahil sa sinabi ni Tritus at napapailing na kinuha nito ang wallet mula sa bag.

"Eat that and don't bother me again," Cradience coldly retorted as he walked away.

Tritus' eyes sparkled in bliss because of flat, new one thousand he received from Cradience.

"Wow, one thousand. Kung oras-oras ko pala kulitin so Cradience baka makakuha ako ng five thousand sa isang araw. Parang hindi nauubusan ng pera si Cradience," pang-aasar nito lalo at iwinagayway sa harapan ni Demirous ang isang libo na ibinigay ni Cradience sa kaniya.

Demirous stole the one thousand from his hand as he crumpled it like a paper as he threw it on his face. Tritus' expression changed quickly as it followed by a loud scream.

"Hindi ka lalabas ng buhay sa gym na ito Demirous!" Ang huling narinig ko mula kay Tritus bago ako idinala sa loob ng hospital van. Siguro bigla siyang inawat ni Kivione dahil sa pagwawala nito. Sino ba naman ang hindi magagalit sa pagwagayway ng malutong na pera sa pagmumukha ni Demirous? Mali pa ang taong inasar niya. Hindi niya alam na talo pa niyon ang istriktong guro sa eskuwelahan.
