CHAPTER 26

AUTUMN

I don't know why I suddenly felt the pain in my chest after that kiss. I couldn't stop thinking about that kiss while running. I don't know where my feet lead me but I want to escape from that place. Whenever that kiss is flashing in my mind, I can't help but to think about Cradience. He has soft lips, smell like lemon mint, his perfume does smell like a lemon but in a manly way.

Napatigil ako sa katatakbo at napahawak sa kung saan na matigas na bagay habang nakatingin sa ibaba at tulala. Habang ako ay tulala ay nagkaramdam ako ng panghihina. Parang gustong bumigay ng mga tuhod ko dahil sa kaba. Hindi lang kaba ang aking nararamdaman at hindi ko ito maipaliwanag. Hinihingal akong napahawak sa aking kaliwang tuhod habang ang isa kong kamay ay nakahawak sa isang matigas na kahoy.

Pagkatapos ng ginawa niyang iyon, nalilito ko siyang tinignan. Ang mas nakakapangamba roon ay tila ba wala siyang pagsisisi sa ginawa niyang iyon. Hindi ko maintindihan ang taong iyon pero ayaw ko na siya makita pa. He's somewhat resembles as Cradience which is I hated the most. Wala pa ako sa plano, hindi ako puwedeng bumigay.

"Autumn!" someone called. My eyes enlarged as I felt anxious again. Panicking, I looked behind and I saw the cosplayer named Kaden Kite Kalium, standing few meters away from me. Why did he follow me here? I thought the famous cosplayer like him will not care about it because I am only his fan.

Gasping for air, I looked at his blank face. He took three steps from me and it was followed by his deep sigh. The  strong breeze of the wind became colder as the leaves falling down from the enormous tree landed on the water.

I haven't realized that I stopped here in the bridge of river.

Naglakad pa ito papunta sa aking direksyon ngunit dahan-dahan ang lakad nito. I heard the creeks of the plank wood of this bridge. We are here in the river of wishes and this bridge seemed like already old. Sa gilid naman ng river of wishes ay ang estatwang anghel na may hawak na puting garapon at ang garapon na iyon ay may tubig na bumubuhos sa malawak na ilog na ito.

"S-stop there!" I shouted nervously. I stopped him by raising my hands and I shouted nervously while gasping for air. I don't know why I feel different, I just can't explain this feeling.

There is a cigarette between of his fingers. The smoke from the cigarette was blown away by the wind. Halos nakikita na ang matipuno nitong dibdib dahil sa suot niya ngayon na tinatawag na yukata. Maputi siyang tao at magandang lalaki ngunit ang mga galaw niya ay talagang pamilyar sa akin kaya ganoon na lang kung magreak ang dibdib ko na parang kilala niya ito.

He didn't listen to me. Instead, he walks towards me while wearing this unreadable poker face. I gripped tightly my shirt, near at my chest because of this heartbeat.

"Let's go back now. This bridge is dangerous, the keeper of this place doesn't allow anyone to walk in this bridge," he calmly spoke.

Napahawak ako sa marupok na kahoy sa tabi ko dahil sa panghihina na nararamdaman ko ngayon na malapit na siya sa akin.

"H-how..." I stuttered in a low tone of voice.

"Pardon?" he responded.

"H-how c-could you be this calm after what happened—"
