I'm going through my fantasy writer phase again, this au is my fav. Expect the next chapter to take five business days.

Also, apparently I adopted about four of you guys? I mean, I don't mind being a (on and off) single father of five but damn. Child support is a bxtch, I owe Ryn about 1,134 buckaroos.

Your father sighed, putting his glasses down.
"Your mother has told me you're staying at the companies estate for the remainder of your stay. It's for safety reasons" your father explained, "I had a maid go through your things while you are dinner"

"I'm what?!" You shouted.

It didn't take long for your life to be turned around. In just one night, you were given rules, guidelines, "tips", warnings, and threats from your parents on how to behave, how to talk, how to walk, and even how to breathe. Ironic since you felt as if you were being suffocated. They did their best to cram as much information as possible, threatening with a harsh punishment if you were to step out of line.

"Remember, we have connections. Friends in high and low places. Every small movement you make, we know of" Your mother's tone was menacing. It didn't help that she circled you like a vulture, waiting for it's prey to give in to death.

Despite all the warnings and remarks, all their words fell short. You had a small feeling that once you were gone, there was nothing holding you back. You identified this feeling as freedom. You felt small splashes of it during charity events your parents were too busy to attend, you were submerged in more freedom during that strange 'event' you were forced to go to. And now, now you were going to swim in the feeling freedom for however long you were forced to.

You laid in bed, your mind racing of what it would be like, who would be there, what kind of things you'd finally be able to do or wear once you were away. With this small excitement came a sense of nervousness, you feared your parents weren't lying when they said they had eyes watching you at all times. You feared the people you would meet would be just like your parents. You feared that all the power you imagined in your head, the power and freedom you would soon gain, would be just that, all imaginary.

You groaned, turning to your side and covering your face with a pillow to muffle said groan. You had another feeling, one that made you think you weren't going to sleep well that night.
Removing the pillow from your face, you stared at your pre-packed bags. One bag was open, showing neatly folded clothes that looked like your mother picked out for you. Anger bubbled in you, but you were too tired to fully feel it. Sleep took angers place.

you awoke to the sound of someone violently opening your curtains. Grumbling, you opened your eyes. You winced and held a hand to your face, the sun was hitting you directly in your eyes and it stun.

"A new day, a new chance to meet some people. Right Y/n?"
Your mother's voice rang out, booming ad full of malice as always.

"Yes mother..." You groaned out.

"Now chop chop" she clapped her hands as she spoke, "I let you sleep five minutes in, you're going to be late!"

'How generous' you sarcastically said in your head.
