"Karrion. I haven't seen you in ages. At least not since your father killed mine." I bent my head and smiled.

"It's been over two decades, aren't you past that?" He looked at me like I had offended him.

"Past that?" He paced around for a minute, then regained his composure. "Why the fuck am I here?"

"I'm here to make a temporary deal."

"What deal?"

"You want my brother. You can have him." He looked at me strangely.

"You're giving up Andrei? For what?"

"Nothing yet. It'll be something you owe me. A little future guarantee."

"What if I say yes and then betray you? You would've betrayed your brother for nothing."

"Well, that's a risk I'm willing to take. It's not like he gets the brother of the Year or anything." He eyed me very suspiciously.

"I can get Andrei without even trying. But you..." His men raised their weapons behind him. I looked at Sion and he understood me. "You are who I want. And you just delivered yourself to me on a platter."

"Xavier, let's not be stupid. Your father was a lot of things but he definitely wasn't stupid."

"If you say one more thing about my father, I'll kill you." I smiled as I moved closer to him.

"What's it going to be? A simple deal...or a bloodbath?" Sion was ready to go. My men were right outside that door, just waiting to hear a single gunshot. I brought out my gun and held it in the air.

"I don't make deals with traitors." I smiled even more.

"Well, I think we've come to an agreement then." I shot my gun, and my men came running in. As the exchange of gunfire began, I spotted Xavier trying to get away through a backdoor. "Sion! Cover me!"

As Sion covered me, I chased Xavier. He would occasionally turn and shoot at me to slow me down, but I was determined. He wasn't going to get away.

He was about to run up a set of stairs, when he dropped his gun, giving me the advantage here.

"Stop!" My gun was pointed at his back, and he knew that I would take the shot.

"This isn't your war Karrion. I just want what's mine."

"Turn around with your hands in the air." He didn't argue.

"Can I ask you something?" I didn't say anything. I just stared at him. "How is she? Sophie, I mean." I felt a flood of anger. How dare he mention her name?!

"If you EVER mention that name again, I'll actually gut you like a pig."

"It really is a shame. Having someone like her, and yet, never being able to truly enjoy a life with her. Always looking over your shoulders."

"I could just kill you."

"You're Karrion Black. You know I'm not the only one. Your psychopathic brother will come next. Then thousands more after him. This illusion that you're living in won't last. And you know it."

"Any last words?"

"I do think she is a good fuck." A smile made its way to my face as I nodded.

"You were always a bit daring."

"One of my best qualities. Now, kill me. It's what you want, isn't it?" I looked at him and took the first shot. He stumbled back and hit a wall. Then I walked to him, and squatted near him.

"Your father would be very disappointed." Then I moved back and emptied my gun in him. He wasn't dead. I didn't shoot him to kill him. "I won't kill you yet. I'll leave you here, and maybe you'll bleed out. Or maybe you won't. Either way, I get to rid myself of you. If you do survive this, come at me again. I'd love to actually be the one to end you."

I walked back to the main warehouse, just in time to see my men clearing up the place.

"Take our wounded and get them treated, take our dead and handle it. Leave no man behind, dead or alive." I said as I stood in the middle of the mess.

"What about his men?"

"Burn them." I walked to where the cars were packed and watched carefully. My men were brought out and separated based on my orders. And when my men were completely out, gasoline was poured all around the warehouse. And just as I got into the car, the warehouse was set ablaze. I watched it burn as we drove away.

"What next Boss? We still don't have an way out of here." I smiled and looked at Sion.

"We do. We always had a way out of here. Call the pilot, tell him to get ready. We're leaving in two hours."

The thing about being me was that I always had to stay on top of every situation. I knew my brother had a limited number of men. I also knew that this warehouse was located in one of his major territories. By the time the news of the burning warehouse gets to him, he would redirect all his men here. That would leave us with a clear road to the hangar. Simple.

*********Sophie's POV **********
I was pacing around the dark room. It was all I could do. I would occasionally walk to the closet and wrap myself up in one of his coats. It made me feel like he was still here. I finally sat down on his side of the bed, and just waited. I could handle it.

An hour later, I heard the sound of the window shields being pulled back up. Considering the constant dark state of the room, I ran out to one of the random sitting areas to see the situation better. It was evening time, but the lockdown was over. Now, I just had to wait for him to walk through those doors.

I walked down to the foyer and waited anxiously. His men were all around me, but I didn't care. It felt like he would never walk through the doors. But minutes later, the doors opened and I caught a glimpse of him. I immediately ran to him and kissed him like I was never going to see him again.

He was obviously shocked, but that didn't last. He pulled away and just looked at me. His anger was still there, but it wasn't enough for him to lash out at me right in front of everyone.

He took my hand and led me up a flight of stairs until we got to the room. He locked the door behind us and just looked at me.

"Karrion, baby, I'm so sorry." That was all I could say.

"Sophie..."

"Wait. I know you're upset and angry that I didn't listen to you. But I'm sorry. I was just..."

"Sophie!" I kept quiet and looked at him. He didn't have the time for this. "Get the necessities into a suitcase, and let's go. You have one hour."
