22: Dark Guild Takeout #1

*Mario's pov*

I ran with Tapio, a cat that tried to attack and accuse me, to get to were he mentioned the trees said there was fighting. I paused our fight and ran too where the fight was mentioned with this cat following close behind however what we came across was heart sinking for me. I growled as I clenched my fists.

"Damnit... They were picking us off one by one" I growled slightly trailing off before I took a deep breath.

"What do you mean?" Tapio the cat asked as I looked at him

"Ok first off I'm just going to say this now, I am not your enemy. The people who did this, who have my friends are likely the ones who did this. I don't have time to deal with you" I glared as I turned and ran off trying to follow Kit or Boat's scents as much as I could until Tapio jumped in front of me and I stopped and groaned.

"I don't have time for this my friends are in danger!" I slightly yelled at Tapio held out a staff to me

"I'm coming with you. I still believe your responsible for the burning of the forest." Tapio stated boldly and I groaned tired of this

"Ya me and my earth dragon slayer magic can totally burn something" I sarcastically rolled my eyes as Tapio blinked then thought about it

"Oh..." Tapio lowered his staff now having something to contemplate

"Ya you get it now? Now I'm leaving" I said as I walked around him then started running.

I have to get to Boat and Kit as soon as possible. I can't let them fall victim to this mad man. If they do then I'm responsible for them. I brought them here without guild leader permission. They were only allowed on the A class mission now they are sitting with me in this situation.

I moved quickly before panting slowly down, I need more stamina training. I looked up then slightly groaned as I forced myself to continue to walk just to cover more grounds. I walked until I smelt the forest next to me and I quickly looked over seeing Tapio and I slightly jumped

"What the heck!?" I slightly cried as Tapio looked at me

"I am coming with you" he bluntly stated and I stopped and looked at him

"No your not." I crossed my arms before getting a staff pointed at me again

"Do not underestimate me. I'm coming with you regardless of what you say" Tapio huffed and I sighed knowing I'm not going to be able to persuade him.

"Fine! Come on" I said as we both got moving. I need to reach my guild members. Hopefully Boat and Kit are ok, I can't say safe with this situation.

*3rd person*

Boat groaned a bit as he opened his eyes before looking around then quickly moved as he pulled at the chains holding him to the walls the cell. He called out Kit's name and waited to see if he could hear anything and he signed in relief as he heard a soft "I'm here" from Kit

Boat looked around trying to figure a way out but nothing. Magic won't work, must be mana canceling cuffs and chains and they are literally in hanging cells above who knows what. Boat tried to see as far as he could before he looked up only to get shoved back harshly with a blunt pole.

"Stay back there in your cells. Master will be dealing with you guys shortly" the hooded people said and Boat glared before hearing Kit yelp in slight pain and Boat immediately tried to move again

"If you do something I swear!" Boat yelled, however deep down his god smiled before a loud explosion was heard and Boat looked up with surprise. The cages slightly rocked and people stumbled a bit as they looked up.

Yells were heard as Boat watched them run off leaving them alone. Boat continued to try to pull at the chains to try to break out but it was hard to focus as rubbling of obviously a fight sounded from above. Kit looked up and she smiled and sighed happy that she wasn't going to get pulled away but also happy that Mario found them. Obviously it's Mario making all that earth shaking who else would it be? Only he was with them.

Mario roared through the gates as he glared at the old guild. Running in with Tapio going different directions both ruining the guild. Mario growled as he dropped a passed out evil guild member and looked at the iron doors in front of him.

"There...." Mario huffed as he kicked the doors open and walked down the steps getting to the basement.

He looked around before spotting the cages he wanted and made his way over. Kit looked up and smiled happily calling Mario's name as Mario's face softened getting to the bars. He pulled up the dirt to stabilize the hanging cage as he pulled out the keys and tried the different kinds until he got the right one and he got Kit out as she hugged him

"Mario! Oh I'm so happy to see you" Kit cried as Boat looked up from his cage and smiled knowing he's next

"Yup, but what happened?" Mario asked as he walked with Kit to get to Boat and set him free

"They ambushed me. They knocked me out and I couldn't do anything. I don't know Boat's side of things but I know that I was probably held as a hostage against him." Kit sighed as she frowned as Boat looked at them

"It's true. Glad to see you Mario" Boat smiled as Mario got the locks undone.

"Ya found some strange cat, that was my hold up and then the trees said there was fighting. Or at least that what the cat said. Mario held out his hand and Boat took it as he was brought back up to a standing position

"Wow that's strange" Kit huffed as Mario put a hand on her head

"Ya, well we have a dark guild to take out. I'm going after the leader, you both take care of the rest" Mario said as he turned and all 3 ran upstairs back into the main area going further in until Tapio met them

"Oh, are these your friends?" Tapio asked and Mario nodded

"Yup. Work on taking out the rest of the members with them. I'm going for the leader-" Mario abruptly stopped as a horrific screech like roar sounded.

"Mario go. We'll take care of this" Boat moved pulling up water and got ready as Mario nodded and ran off. Kit pulled together fire which Tapio eyed suspiciously but didn't think much as all three moved attacking incoming guild members.

Mario ran up the stairs before pausing at the door in front of him and he took a sharp inhale. So many years, wasted here following this man. Mario huffed before he kicked the door as it slammed open and the dark guild leader looked over slowly from the fire he was staring at.

"So you finally came back to me"
