After Sam's show and tell presentation of his great grandfather's items, he and his younger brother Michael had their first cars. Little did they know that the cars are robots from another planet. It will be a big journey for them.
[At college, Sam and Leo are having their first class, Sam being unaware of Michael having a strange behavior. After class ended the two got out]

Sam: [Through the phone] Hello? What is it Michael?
Michael: Something just happened.
Sam: What's the problem?
Michael: Remeber that one time in high school, you had the presentation of our grandfather, Archibald Witwicky who won this mission in the Artic, and then he saw Megatron, the Leader of the Decepticons zapped him and started seeing these crazy symbols. But now I'm seeing them too. I have been seeing the symbols since when-
Sam: Since when?
Michael: Since I touched the Cube splinter.
Sam: Do you still have it?
Michael: Yeah, it is still in my pocket. (He pulled the container containing the shard) Oh yeah it's right here, it's all good. I'm gonna be on the plane to visit you. (He hangs up.)
[Just then a helicopter is hiding in the skies spying on Michael]

Grindor: I've found the boy! And he is about to go on a plane to visit his brother. Everything is going as planned.

[Meanwhile back at NEST Base]
N.E.S.T. Soldier: Major, incoming SOS from Autobots!
N.E.S.T. Soldier #2: Multiple Decepticon contacts in motion. Vicinity, Eastern United States sir!
General Morshower: As in how many?
N.E.S.T. Soldier #3: Unclear, sir.
General Morshower: Well, get clear.
[Suddenly the Autobots are splitting up in three groups]
N.E.S.T. Soldier #2: The Autobots are on the move, splitting into three teams, sir.
N.E.S.T. Soldier: They're not answering our calls and they're heading to New York and Philadelphia.
