Hello, dear readers! It's been a minute, but we had some very busy days with Jeff's concert! We are still overwhelmed and it's been a week already! It was probably a lucid dream!

This chapter is very special to us simply because JeffBarcode make us emotional. We love them so much! We miss them so so so much! 🥹🤏🏾

From the armchair, Jeff just watches as Barcode puts on a white tank top and tucks the hem into his dress pants. They exchange a brief glance in the mirror and the older man just nods once. Barcode goes to the shoes he chose and puts them on, all still under Jeff's watchful eye. It was difficult to get Barcode out of bed after an afternoon nap, but he managed to by offering a shower together which obviously took longer than expected. Still, Jeff got ready first, as Barcode decided to lie down again.

The weight of arriving from the last day of shooting last night affects both of them. Barcode is distracted for a moment — so Jeff imagines — while getting ready, but every now and then a pout appears on his lips again and Jeff doesn't even have to ask why. As the older man watches him, he wonders if Barcode has the real notion of what things have become between them. What is the real meaning of the sadness they feel for having to leave.

Barcode comes out of the bathroom with his hair done and smiles in Jeff's direction. Jeff reaches for the blazer the taller man picked out earlier, then walks over and slowly slips it on as he watches what he's doing in the mirror, patting the fabric around Barcode's shoulders. He nods once and they both laugh a little.

"Wait a second." Jeff says in a low voice as he walks away towards his own things. "Here."

When Jeff approaches again, he puts a silver choker around Barcode's neck, simple but matching what the other chose to wear. Jeff closes the jewel at the back of Barcode's neck and leaves a soft kiss on the top.

"Beautiful." Jeff smiles as he looks at him in the mirror. Barcode slides his fingers slowly across the accessory. "It's yours. It looks better on you."

"I loved it. Thanks." Barcode says with a smile that gradually fades away. "I don't want to go."

With a weak laugh, Jeff turns him slowly towards himself and grabs him around the waist. They're the same height because of their shoes, so it's easy for Jeff to lean over until his forehead touches Barcode's.

"I don't want to either, baby, but time will fly." Jeff pecks his lips then. "We'll be back soon."

Barcode grumbles a little, but nods before leaning in for another kiss that lasts too long, until Jeff feels his cell phone vibrate in his pocket and they have to hurry to leave. It is the last meeting with the whole team and there would be no excuses this time, after all it is the celebration of the end of the series shooting, that was a success.

Obviously the hours seem to drag on while they're away from each other, no matter how close they are. Sitting side by side or even in the same circle of people, the truth is that it is never enough. Jeff would actually like to be locked in the hotel room with Barcode, close enough that it would be possible for them to become one, in an attempt Jeff knows will always be in vain to subside the strong feeling of already missing the younger man.

Even more than usual, they pay too much attention to each other and stare at each other the entire time, except when Jeff catches another person looking at Barcode again, and although this time he isn't jealous, he is curious.

"Hey, I was wondering..." Jeff takes the opportunity to ask quietly as soon as they are alone for a few minutes. "What did you say not to go on the date?"
