Translator's notes: It took me some time, but it's finally here! As some of you may know, English is not my first language and I translated the story in almost a one-go so apologies in advance for any mistakes, typos, wrong use of word, etc. Hope they don't get in the way of you guys enjoying the story. We missed writing these two! We have so many other plots and so little time to work on them!

We have more stories ready to share if you guys are interested, so let us know in the comments.

Hope you enjoy it!

Happy 2024, may this year bring joy to all of you!

"I arrived not long ago."

It is with a wai that Barcode responds to Khun Mae when she approaches. As she settles into her seat at the table at the arranged restaurant, Pranee says something about her youngest son taking a while to get ready. Still standing, Jesse doesn't seem to worry about defending himself against his mother's accusations, he just smiles at Barcode and nods briefly before taking his own place. As polite as he is, Barcode struggles to pay attention to what she says instead of seeking the look that makes his face heat. His eyes are only free when Khun Mae directs her attention to Jesse, and then Barcode turns to his side to finally find the one who he was watching by the corner of his eyes.

"P'Jeff."

With a smile, Jeff gets closer and hugs him quickly, but long enough for Barcode to feel when he holds him by the shirt with a little intent. As they get back to their seats, Barcode wonders how evident his unwillingness to let Jeff go from his arms is. He's been waiting for this feeling again for a while now.

The conversation flows normally between the four of them. Khun Mae seems quite interested in knowing how his studies are going and from this topic the conversation soon turns to work, which also attracts Pranee's attention, even if in the end it is just to practically beg for Barcode's help in convincing her oldest son to work a little less. Any plea and reasoning he has falls flat when Jeff points out the number of things Barcode has been dedicating himself to: university, classes on a million things, shootings, rehearsals, music...

Between conversations about the options that the menu offers, Barcode gradually becomes comfortable with Jeff's family. It's how it usually happens. He feels a little shy and even a little withdrawn at first, but he is always treated so well that any discomfort dissipates in a short time.

It's comfortable how Barcode feels naturally welcomed even by Jesse who doesn't talk much. Somehow, it's as if he doesn't need to hide from the people who love Jeff the most how much he also loves him, even though nothing has been explained. It's in these small details that he feels even more intimate with the older one, even more so than when they are alone between four walls. It's impossible not to smile and not feel his chest warm with affection when he simply shares the bread served as a starter with Barcode.

It's silly, but it's so Jeff how much these little demonstrations say so much.

Next to him, Barcode regrets his choice of seats a little. His eyes wander without attention to his own plate and the other members of the table, always drawn to Jeff. With the movement of his neck that he needs to make to look at Jeff, it's difficult to mask how much he can't help but do it.

Beneath the cap Jeff wears, his hair is much longer than it was the last time they saw each other. Barcode knows he's keeping his hair long because he'll need to have a haircut soon for his next role, which has already been the subject of a lot of drama from the older man's part — and laughter from his own. The memory brings him yet another discreet smile, immediately returned by Jeff. Not even all the video calls they've made in recent months do justice to Jeff's beauty or how much Barcode has missed him.
