Chapter 16: A Favor

~Astrid's POV~

"Astrid.." he called, I didn't have my voice to respond so I kept quiet. "Mom.. she's in the hospital" when he finally uttered that sentence I felt my heart tightened

"She's Feeling Sick Astrid.. really Sick" he said as he starts sobbing

"What..? W-which hospital is she in right now?! We should go there right now!" I yelled in a panicked voice as I started moving

"She's in the best hospital here on Berk. It's just near here about 25 minutes drive" He explained as he wiped his tears using the back of his hand

I reached over to my sling bag and took out a handkerchief and handed it to him. He looked at me for a second before taking it and wiping his tears away

"Can you come with me to the hospital?" He asked after wiping his tears, I nodded in response then he quietly looked out.

"I don't see the paparazzi any longer, come on!" He whispered as he held my hand

We ran and ran until we reached the parking lot. He took his keys out then pressed something on it then one of the cars suddenly made a sound

I quietly shrieked at the sudden noise and it luckily stayed unnoticed. I made my way through the car door and entered as soon as Hiccup entered as well.

He started the engine and we were soon moving away from our position. "So question" I spoke out

He looked at me for a second before looking back at the road. "Why am I the one coming with you?" I asked

"Because-" He halted and his gaze went dark for a brief moment. "Merida's busy.. and Mom wants to see you. Dad said that she's been calling your name ever since she got to the hospital" He said before taking a deep breath

I nodded in response not wanting to say anymore. We soon reached the hospital and  we both walked fast.

When we got to the reception a nurse who looked 23 years old asked how could she be of service. "Yes uh, where is Valka Haddock's room?" He asked

"Why sir? What is your relationship with our patient?" She asked

"I'm her son. If you could please just tell me where she is" He said in a hurry tone

"Right, well let me check!" She exclaimed and started looking at the computer

"Magnus! What are you doing?! I'm so sorry Hiccup she's new. We hired her only a week ago" Another nurse said. Only she was older

"That's quite alright" Hiccup calmly responded but I know deep inside he's in a hurry

"Right! Your Mom's room is at the 5th floor number 504" she said. Hiccup thanked her and then grabbed my hand dragging me over to the elevator.

We didn't wait too long, thankfully. When we got inside he pressed the 5th floor waiting impatiently. Everyone came to their stop before us therefore we were alone in a short time.
