"Is it due to Faraan?" Faris asked, leaving him stunned.

If she was that Ajwa from the past, she would have blatantly said yes. She never shies away from speaking her mind. Because since no one ever cared for her then why should she do that? All life she always found people selfish with her which perhaps had made her get some streaks of it. But here she didn't want to make Faris worried and disappointed in her. She knew he loved his brother and the least she could do was not to get him apprehensive from her side that she hated his twin.

"I just don't feel like traveling right now or else I would have gone with you," she reasoned.

Even though she would have loved to go with him if any was any other situation. She still remembered the time when she went on a long drive with him. She enjoyed it very much.

Faris smiled and his expressions again softened. He approached her and cupped her cheeks.

"Just get off every worry out of your mind. You are mine and I am yours. No one can separate us unless I die and---"

Ajwa glared at him and hit on his arm harshly. "God forbid. What the hell are you saying? We will always remain together."

Faris grinned and pecked her forehead in a chaste kiss. "That's true. We will see our grandkids someday," he winked at her.

Ajwa's cheeks turned red. "More than kids, you are worried for your grandkids."

He laughed out loud at this. "Of course, I care for my heirs to thrive."

She grimaced at this but abruptly she remembered what her father's views on this were. The heir's mention of him made her sad. Did this mean he was also like Khalid?

"What if our child will be a girl?" She asked, apprehensive of his answer.

Her father still gave her mother taunts for not bearing a boy.

Faris blinked before realization hit him. She quickly understood her stance. He stroked the pink line on her cheek. "Then she will be a blessing from Allah for us."

Her eyes blubbered with tears but she withheld them. She gave him a heartwarming smile instead. After giving her most precious assets to him last night, she didn't feel a bit afraid about it now. She enjoyed those moments when he acted as if he loved her but in reality, it wasn't. He was so considerate and treated her so gently that she again realized she loved him every bit.

"I should leave now. I'll call you by the way," he informed her, squeezing her hand in assurance.

Leaving her alone like this had never been easy for him even. Faris knew she was slowly making him get addicted to herself and ironically, he was liking it.

He knew the reason for her rejection was Faraan but the way Ajwa was so considerate of their relationship and didn't say anything questionable which could hurt him was so commendable. He suddenly recalled her mother's talk about her. She said that if he would take care of her then she would do the same. And she wasn't wrong.

Faris had always taken into consideration logic and intuition. He never let emotions drive his decisions and thoughts. He was well aware that Faraan did wrong to Ajwa and her sister. And Ajwa's disdain for him was justified. He didn't allow sentiments and relations to come into this. The least which could be done here was to make peace by both Ajwa and Faraan that she was his wife now and they were just related to each other by Faris. Nothing else. Nothing more than this.

Thinking about Faraan, then Faris also understood the fact as well that his brother would never get himself stuck in any forced tie. He was like a bird who loved to fly in the open air. When he chose Ajwa that time was solely to tease their father. And nothing mattered to him other than the decision made by him himself. Wanting her was a conclusion made on impulse.
