             •••|A FEW DAYS LATER|•••

Faris gently and carefully removed the bandage around Faraan's head. He hissed at the pain. It almost felt like his injury again had gotten fresh. He didn't know when it was going to get better. According to Faris, his wound was in its healing stages now and its condition was much better than before. He just needed to have extra care as regards his head. He clenched his teeth into each other to avoid himself giving an intense reaction. Faris saw it and placed his hand on Faraan's taut shoulder.

"Just a few minutes," Faris said, reassuring him that the sting would be gone in a while.

Faris gave a quick glance at his wound and nodded to himself to see it was recovering pretty well.  He changed the bandage around his head. Today Faris had finally withdrawn the support around his neck as well. His fracture was restored now.

"Till when I will be freed from this disturbance?" Faraan made a distasteful face.

"You still have to wear this bandage for a couple of weeks.  You aren't properly healed yet," Faris told him.

Faraan huffed and looked away. After that day, Faraan never brought up Ajwa's matter between them again. They were back to normal and to be honest, Faris wasn't even bothered by his earlier outbreak. He was a calm and rational man. He didn't get affected by such things. For him, the reasoning was beyond any emotion.

What Faraan reacted was due to impulse and Faris hated impulse. He always did things after proper planning and thinking.  Ajwa was in his nikkah now and he wouldn't just let her become a rivalry topic between him and his brother. As Faraan said earlier that he would get her back in open words also didn't deter Faris except for making him feel possessive of her.

On Faraan's emphasis or saying, he wouldn't just give him his wife to him. Gone were the days when Faraan used to take his things by emotional blackmailing and wailing. They were kids at that time and Faris was way too sensitive and alone after their mother's death that he made his brother's happiness his own. He used to accept his persistence in his love for him.

But Ajwa wasn't a thing. She was Faris's wife and an integral part of his life. Someone whom he liked and admired. Someone with whom he wanted to start a family with. Faraan and Ajwa both had separate and distinct places in his life. One couldn't take another's spot. And he definitely didn't want to mess up his relations with one for the other. Perhaps that was the reason, Faraan also understood and didn't proceed. He saw his perseverance.

"Faris," Faraan called him when he was about to leave.

"Yes?" He looked back at him.

Faraan groaned to sit up and gave him a lazy look. "I think I reacted way too much that day. I shouldn't have gone over the board. I know it must have bothered you. "

Faris gave a silent glance to his twin. They were so much alike that at this time Faris thought, he was looking at a mirror. They had every feature familiar to each other. Probably that was the reason why Faris loved him very much. That he reminded him of Faris himself.

"I just want to say that.." Faraan sighed. "That's true life doesn't work our way. And that nothing is in our hands. We just think of some other thing and in the end, it doesn't happen. Ajwa is your wife now. Nothing could change it. I guess you guys have also accepted each other. I know it's a bit difficult to accept this for me but I will try my best to not mess up our bond for this. She will remain respectful of me as your wife."

Faris nodded. "Reality can't be changed Faraan. And one should accept it. If you won't, you will only hurt yourself in the way. Ajwa is the utmost reality of my life and I won't let anyone disrespect her and my marriage. The best is in the process that you just give yourself in the stream of reality. It will be easier for you. I don't want to hurt you Faraan but betterment is in to accept the reality. You have a whole life ahead of this and I am sure you can find someone who can keep you happy."
