The evening had almost commenced when she reached home after participating in a milad in her neighborhood. She had a beautiful and soulful voice and she loved reciting naat in the praise and love for Holy Prophet P.B.U.H and hamd in the glory of Allah Almighty since she was a child. Her Aunt often said that she had such a heart-wavering tone and voice that anyone hearing her could become awe-stricken. But she always gave it to the honor of her Allah and HIS Prophet P.B.U.H.
Coming into the room, she removed her abaya and went into the washroom to get freshened up. Before leaving for the Milad in the morning, her Aunt had said that some uncle of hers was coming home after so many years but as she saw now, he was still not here. Although she could find hustle and bustle everywhere. She didn't know much about him but she was curious to know how he would be.
She changed into a simple white shalwar kameez and respectfully wrapped a white dupatta over her head before making her way out. As she reached the lounge, she paused to find an unfamiliar man sitting there with the rest of her family. It must be her uncle which they were telling her about. The man stood up seeing her and then he narrowed his eyes. His mouth parted as he kept on looking at her. His stare flew from her face to her neck and the sight of a chain on her throat caused him to suck a breath.
Milad: A religious gathering in which naat and hamd (most common naats) are recited by people.
Naat: It is recited in Holy Prophet Muhammad S.A.W.W's praise.
Hamd: It is recited in Allah's glory.
