Episode-24

   Amber’s POV:

      Edward asked, “now… make yourself home… I
need to do some work…” he said this coldly, I don’t understand difference in
his warm and cold.

Before he could leave,
he turned to me and said, “and yea… you are attending college from next
week,  I am giving you one week to be
strong and this time no one will bother you, I promise…. And you are coming to
office with me from tomorrow…” he left to his room, he.. he is mean and bossy…

   It’s been hours he is still in his study,
what is meaning of day off when he have to work from home. I knocked his door,
and I heard, “come in…” he was doing something on his laptop. He said, “what is
it, Amber?”

    I said, “I… I am bored….” He just said, “go
watch TV or something…. and yea… your phone.. I forgot to give you this..”
phone?... I forgot about it. I went to him and took my phone, I switched it on
and immediately the notifications were on fire. Masson texted me and I see few
missed calls.

   I was about to walk out of the room when
Edward said, “show me your phone…” I turned to him as I said, “hu?”

   I said, “why?” is he trying to control me?
there should be a personal space even when he is my caretaker…

  Edward sigh and said, “Amber… give it to
me..” he sounds demanding. I just walked out of the room, as I got out I heard
something crashing in the room, I looked at the close door in horror, he is
angry, right?... did I made him that angry? then he shouldn’t invade my
privacy.

    I went to the room and called Masson, after
few rings he answered the call, he said, “hi…. I though you will never respond”

  I said, “I was not feeling well so.. my phone
was off… I hope you don’t mind..”

   I heard him, “it’s fine, I know you are sick.
I just called to know how are you… are you feeling much better?”

  I replied, “yes… thanks for asking…”

   Masson said, “ok… I am in middle of
something… let’s meet when you are recovered.. bye..” I whispered, “bye..” he
ended the call. Eva said that he might like me… but he doesn’t sound like that…
maybe he considers me as friends. But he can be a nice friend.

     next
day,

     I heard a knock on the door and I moved on
the bed trying to sneak extra few minutes of sleep, but I then heard,
“Amber!... get up!” I sat up in annoyance, I walked to the door and I saw
Edward in his shirt, few buttons where undone and in black pants. He said, “get
ready, we are leaving for office…. I can’t leave you alone here…” he walked
away. I sigh, he is such a strict person, why dad chose him?

   I got ready in high waist jeans and a crop
top, I got my feet in sneakers and I decided to let my hair down, I want to be
relaxed…. I went to the kitchen and it already smells so good, I got excited. I
saw the dining table had pancakes and I smiled.

    Edward walks in from behind me and said,
“you ready?

  I turned to face him, he scanned me from head
to toe, then he said, “let’s eat… we don’t have time…” I nodded.

  After the breakfast was done I was sitting in
the car looking through my phone, he was also doing something. he said, “Amber…
today you are selecting few things for mansion renovation… and Olivia will
teach you some office related work..” he wasn’t even looking at me.

  I was sitting in his office right in front of
him and I liked few color for the wall, I showed him the booklet and said,
“Edward…. look… I think this will go… I want some long curtains and especially
bed curtains..” surprisingly I got into this.  he noted it down and then called someone. And said, “to my office now..”

  Olivia walks in after few minutes, he called
her?.... Olivia greeted him and then me, I really don’t like her. she is sweet
to me but no. Edward said, “Olivia… this color and some curtains and other
things… and yea…. Coordinate bed curtains for her room in mansion…”

  Olivia smiled and said, “wow.. it’s pretty….
I didn’t knew you were renovating your mansion…”

  Edward corrected, “it’s not mine. It’s
Amber’s… and this company too…”
