Episode-35

 Amber’s POV:

 I pushed him and ran out of the cabin, I
rushed out of the office and went to a empty garden somewhere, it’s evening so
no one is here… my cheeks are wet due to tears, I am panicking.. I sat on the
bench….

     I unlocked my phone in fear, the first
name I saw was Masson… so I called him searching for someone to talk…

   As Masson answered the call, I sobbed,
“M-Masson… please… I don’t know what to do… I am…”

  Masson said in panic, “Amber… Amber.. where
are you?.. you ok?.. tell me where are you?” I sobbed and told him my
location..

  Masson showed up after 20 minutes, and I was
shaking, I am panicking as I remember that day, mom died…. And today Edward
talked to like that… I was scared of him for a minute… thinking it was dad….

   Masson touched my cheeks and said, “cool…
cool down… I am here… you ok?” I hugged and he was comforting me… he whispered,
“Amber… it’s all right… I am here you are safe…. Tell me what happened….”

  I shake my head in ‘no’ and said, “I am
scared…. Really scared…..”

  After few minutes Masson was holding my hand
as we were sitting on the bench, he said, “you ok now?” I nodded.

  I looked at Masson and said, “sorry… I
troubled you..”

  He just said, “it’s fine… I can do anything
for my friends… and we are best friends right…” I nodded. I looked at the sky,
the sun is just minutes away from setting…

    Masson asked, “want to tell me what
happened?... I am good at keeping secrets…”

  He smiled gently, I said, “I …” should I tell
him… but then I have to tell him about the panic attack too… reason behind
everything…..

     I heard Eva’s voice, “Kid… you are here?”
she was catching her breath… she walked to me and said, “let’s take you home…
Sir, is worried…”

    I looked at Eva without words, she was
searching for me.. but Edward didn’t showed up. He doesn’t care… he cares for
Olivia’s fake cries…

  Masson said, “yea… you should go home…. We
can talk later.. if you need to talk or say something… you can always talk to
me Amber…” I nodded and said, “thank you..” he just smiled

  I followed Eva, she took me to the car, we
were returning home, when Eva asked, “what happened Amber?.... you were here
like this… you cried, didn’t you?... and Sir is searching  for you like crazy?” he is searching for me..

   I didn’t said anything, I just looked out of
the window. Eva’s Phone rang and she answered it, she said, “yes…… she fine….
We will be home in 10 minutes…” she ended the call.

 Eva said, “you almost killed us in worry
today….. kid, don’t disappear like this…. I was 5 minutes away from crying…” I
chuckled as she said this, her crying is hard to imagine..

  She narrowed her eyes and said, “I am not
even joking…”

    She smiled and asked, “what happened kid,
tell me….”

   I sigh, I said, “Olivia... she created a
scene.. and Edward go angry believing her…. and scolded me….”

   Eva banged her hand again and cursed, she
said to me, “don’t do this again… no matter what she does… don’t run around
like this….. we can deal with her later but don’t act reckless….”

    I asked, “you believe me?”

   Eva said almost screaming, “ofcourse I do…
why won’t I?.. I know when people lie… I was in dangerous profession before..”

     Eva dropped me at Edward’s place and said,
“don’t fight with him…. he hisses a lot like cat when he gets angry…. just get
some sleep and food… ok?” I nodded.

   I walked in the house and closed the door..
I walk further I see Edward in the living room in worry, his hairs are messed
up, his shirt’s few  buttons undone, the
coat is on the sofa.. and he has folded sleeves…

   As Edward heard the footsteps he looked at
me and then I see his face, I don’t understand what to feel about it. he walks
to me in hurry and embraces me, pulling me close to him…

  He said, “Amber…. You scared me… don’t vanish
anymore…. Don’t hop around… please..” my heart is racing….he was worried about
me…

  He didn’t break the hug for few minutes then
he let go and looked at me from up to down, he said, “Amber, you injured your
leg..” I noticed the fresh cut on my leg… I didn’t noticed it earlier…

  He touched my face and said, “did you
cried?... let’s treat your wounds first…” he pulled my hand to take me to the
sofa but I pulled it away, I am mad at him.

    I whispered, “I want to rest..” I walked to
my room, and shut the door escaping from the need to be in his arms… he should
know I am angry on him… how can he trust someone instead of asking me first…

  I walked in showers since my clothes are
dirty…

    After I had a shower, I was my pjs, I
walked out to see food on the bed, I sat on the bed  to read the small note, ‘Amber, eat well and
put the band-aid on your leg… rest.. good night…’ I noticed the band-aid with
cute picture on it… I subconsciously smiled…. He cares… then why he acted like
that…

       Edward didn’t woke me up in the morning,
I missed the college.. but it’s fine… I am too lazy to go now… but as I got the
note on the table, Edward left to work…. And the breakfast is there already, I
just need to eat it… I was eating my brunch and checking my phone… I texted
thanks to Masson… he is really my best friend now…

   I got a quick and cool reply from him, I
chuckled to myself finding it funny. I continued to eat as I kept my phone
aside.

   Then I called Eva to take to office, what I
will do here all day, I am not sick or anything… and I will end this fight with
Edward, since he is nice,….  And I want
to tell him about Olivia too… then let’s see what that bitch will do.

    I don’t like to fight but this time, she is
making me angry… god! she has some attitude…. I am weak at physical fights but
that doesn’t mean she can do anything….

     I got ready in simple jeans and a red top,
and pulled my stuff in my bag. I made sure I locked the door, well it’s
high-tech so not a big deal to do, then I walked to parking  and saw Eva in her cool outfit…. She wearing
all black…

   Eva said, “why office?.. I thought you had a
off day, we can go shopping or any other fun stuff… but no clubbing, Sir, will
kill me if he knows I took you to club..”

  I chuckled and said, “no… office… let’s play
fair with Olivia…”

   Eva smirked and said, “that’s my girl!… I
have been teaching you well…”

   I walked in the office and they greeted me,
I straight walked to Edward’s cabin, I was about to push the door open when I
noticed the door is not completely closed.

   I was about to push when I saw through the
gap in the door, Olivia was sitting on Edwards lap and holding his face, she
said, “kiss me… I love you…” she kissed him…

  I moved back as  I saw this, I covered my mouth, tears stream
down without my approval, my heart clenched, I feel pain…. He loved her…. I am
nothing to him…. so they are really couple…. That’s why he took her side, he
trusts her…. that’s why she acts like he is hers…

   I walked out of the office wiping my tears,
I sat in the car with no expression……. I was a fool….. the dumbest person in
the world, to think his duty was his love…. I am just part of his job….
