EVERYONE GATHERED INTHE Barn at noon for the musical auditions and was left waiting for the director to get there.
"It's been, like, twenty minutes..." Kourtney whispered to Gina, Ashlyn, and Nini. "Auditions were meant to start at twelve, does anyone know what's going on? This is not it..."
"I don't know." Nini double-checked her watch. "Channing's usually always on time."
"Maybe we got the wrong place?" Gina asked.
"No, auditions are definitely always in the Barn."
"Hey," Big Red said, sliding into the group's conversation. "Hey..." He smiled at Ashlyn. "Have any of you seen Ricky?"
"He disappeared?" Ashlyn asked.
Big Red nodded. "I haven't seen him since this morning..."
"Me either," Gina said. "Wasn't he on the scavenger hunt adventure mission slash date thingy with EJ?" Big Red nodded again. "The last I saw he was meeting EJ in the treehouse."
"What's this about the treehouse?" Marcus snuck up behind them.
"Ricky is missing," Ashlyn answered. "The last we saw of them was in the treehouse."
"Treehouse?"
There was a loud boom as the doors to the barn swung open, and in strolled Ricky Bowen with an awkward smile on his face. The Wildcats whipped around, then rushed to their friend, with questions.
