From that day onward, Taehyung refrained from interfering or looking out for Jin. Even though it was very hard for him to resist. He consciously altered his path if he spotted Seokjin walking in the same direction. This was precisely what Jin had initially wanted.

Today marked the conclusion of their promotional events. In just a week, their movie would be released, and new of their divorce would follow in a few months.

After the promotion today, there was an after-party scheduled. The couple was expected to stick together, but Taehyung ventured off to engage in conversation with Jimin and some other omega.

Jin watched them with envy, but he couldn't help but feel responsible for this situation. He had pushed Jimin away, and as a result, the omega had blocked him.

He had lashed out at Taehyung, and the alpha had stopped looking out for him. But wasn't this exactly what Jin wanted? To be left alone? Or at least, that's what he thought he wanted.

In reality, Jin yearned for someone to challenge his behavior, to tell him he was wrong when he acted this way. But no one ever did.

It made sense, though, because everyone had their own self-respect to protect. No one would come to Jin's aid after he had subjected himself to such conditions.

It wasn't as if Jin hadn't tried to overcome his deep-seated insecurities and traumas. They were simply too ingrained within him. His career had become his sanctuary, his sole focus for years, the reason he endured his father's torment.

But now, he felt empty inside. He needed help. Not only had he been mentally drained for years, but he also felt his physical health deteriorating.

He longed to drink, and since their promotions were over, he could finally do so. However, they still had to return to their apartment today, and Jin didn't want to create a scene.

He recalled all the times when Taehyung had taken care of him, and he wished he were ready to accept that kind of care and love.

Unfortunately, he had grown accustomed to the cruel and vile behavior of his only family member, his father.

Jin gazed at the bartender and asked,
" Can I buy a bottle of liquor? "

" Sure, for takeout, right? " the bartender inquired.

Jin nodded, avoiding eye contact.

" Are we always going to meet at the bar counter now? Why don't you go to your husband? He's flirting with that omega over there," If there hadn't been cameras at the party, Jin might have slammed Jungkook against the wall. He was in no mood for a joke,

" Cut it out," Jin replied instead of keeping his cool,

" At least spare me a glance, beauty," Jungkook teased,

Jin let out a low growl, " I'm not in the mood for your nonsense right now. Leave me alone."

" You're still the same," Jungkook chuckled, " There's no point in trying to help you out."

"Did I ask for help? Get out of my face," Jin growled loudly enough for Taehyung and Jimin to hear some other people,

Jimin nudged Taehyung's shoulder and said, " Go check on him."

" I'm not. His manager is already with him. He'll be fine. It's not my responsibility to control his erratic behavior," Taehyung replied, taking a sip of his drink as he struggled to contain his urge to go check on Jin.

Taehyung watched as Jin left the party with his manager. He also glanced at Jungkook, who was hiding his face in embarrassment.

The whole situation made Taehyung let out a laugh. He observed Jin's father from a distance, relieved that he wasn't paying any attention to Jin.

A minute later, Taehyung's phone rang. He received a text message that read,
" You need to leave with Jin right now."

Annoyed, Taehyung read the text,
" Alright, Jimin, I have to go." He showed Jimin the message and gave him a hug.

Taehyung hurriedly made his way to the exit, where Jin was waiting for him.

Neither of them spoke during the car ride or when they entered their apartment after nearly a month of continuous promotions.

Suddenly, Taehyung realized that their divorce was just a few months away. It would be a year into their marriage when they'll finally divorce.

In a hurry, Jin didn't even bother to bring a glass with him to the bedroom. He opened the bottle of liquor he had bought and started to gulp it down on an empty stomach, fully aware that this wouldn't end well.

He felt his stomach grumble, but the pain didn't stop him. He drank until the last drop, ignoring his stomach burning.

Soon, the burning turned into excruciating cramps, and Jin let out a painful scream. He clutched his stomach tightly, gasping for breath,
" What's happening? "

He rushed to the bathroom to vomit. Meanwhile, Taehyung couldn't help but lose his composure when he heard the scream. He entered Jin's bedroom, spotted the empty liquor bottle on the floor, and heard retching noises coming from the bathroom.

Panicked, Taehyung opens the bathroom door, " What's wrong with you? " He was shocked to see Jin in such a state, with tears in his eyes, doubled over in pain.

Taehyung opened the bathroom window and turned on the exhaust fan. He helped Jin out of his party attire, rubbed his back, and continued to comfort him. It took several minutes for Jin to empty his stomach completely.

Taehyung flushed the toilet, placed Jin in the bathtub filled with cold water, and gently washed his body with a washcloth. Jin seemed completely out of it, his eyes distant, " Get hold of yourself, please, stay awake, okay? " Taehyung urged.

Taehyung then brushed Jin's teeth and dressed him in a new set of sleepwear before tucking him into bed.

He prepared some porridge and carefully fed Jin, who was still groggy. Taehyung had to hold Jin's head steady with one hand while feeding him with the other. Afterward, he gave Jin hangover medicine and placed him under the covers.

With the room cleaned and Jin's soiled clothes in the washing machine, Taehyung sighed, glancing at the clock. It was now four in the morning. Exhausted, he fell asleep on the sofa without changing his clothes.
