At night, when they came back, Jin had slept in his own room, much to taehyung's surprise, who was up the whole time waiting for seokjin to join him in bed.

He did eventually get up to check up on jin, but jin was fast asleep in his own, taehyung stayed up for some time, contemplating why Jin would choose not sleep with him or if he should make the effort and go join seokjin in his bed,

But he held himself back, Jin probably wanted space, from him, and taehyung is completely clueless why there's such a sudden change,

Soon, taehyung was sleeping as well. As for Jin, he was pretending to be sleeping. He sensed taehyung coming up to check on him. He pretended to sleep, and he opened his eye again when he heard taehyung retrieving back, shutting the door after himself.

He heard taehyung's and his friends' conversation. After hearing it, he realized he might be using taehyung a little too much. And it could possibly lead to a heartbreak for both of them.

Or hearing that tae was only there for the pup hurt Jin, not when they had sex, not when Jin would cuddle him to sleep, or stare at taehyung's face while he's cooking. It was all for the pup, Jin wondered if it had been. Otherwise, would he be able to give taehyung a chance? He's too scared of that, so he decided not to cross lines from now.

He'll be nice and let taehyung help him, but in a way that won't hurt them both or taehyung specifically.

Jin keeps changing his side, hoping he can fall asleep for real, but it is too hard. He needed taehyung's scent. He needed taehyung whispering sweet nothings in his ears. He needs taehyung to put him to sleep.

With the thought alone, he could feel tears forming in his eyes. He bites back those tears and shuts his eyes close,

Not to his surprise, but he actually wasn't able to sleep the whole night, which led Jin to be in the kitchen early in the morning, making himself breakfast,

" You're up early today? Get aside, I'll cook for you, " Jin hears taehyung's morning voice from behind, but he's too focused on boiling the milk,

" seokjin, baby, is everything okay? " taehyung back hugs Jin, wrapping his arms around omega's waist, Jin gently unwraps the hands

" Everything's okay, it's alright. I just feel like having cereal today. Do you want some to? " Jin still doesn't look back. His eyes were still on milk in the pot. The thing about boiling the milk is that they always spill the second you look away. He likes his cereal mixed with boiling hot milk.

" Sure, while you're at it, " taehyung goes to sit down on the dining table, staring nervously at his hands, wondering if something is actually wrong with Jin,

Jin serves tae his bowl, and he places his bowl on another seat. In front of taehyung, usually they'd sit side by side,

Taehyung thinks for some time before shooting his question, " Why did you not sleep in my room last night? "

Jin looks up at his face finally, " i don't know. I felt like sleeping by myself, nothing too deep. "

So, non chalant, taehyung thinks.

" Did you sleep well last night? " Jin asks, taehyung was not expecting the question, " Yeah, I did, I waited for you to join, but then I ended up falling asleep after a while. "

Great, seokjin, you were not able to sleep without his presence, and he slept well, Jin focuses on finishing his cereal.

" Do you want to go to lunch with me today? We could grab ice cream on our way back. We need to restock on your cravings, too. " tae speaks, he couldn't eat, how can he, when overnight Jin feels distant.

" Sure, let's go. " Jin smiles, leaving taehyung bewildered. What's wrong? Why is he acting hot and cold?

Both of them leave for lunch, as tae expected jin maintained distance, not holding hands like they usually do, no stolen kisses on the cheeks, just civilly hanging out,

Taehyung felt restless. When they went back home, Jin left for his own room. And ended up sleeping there. Taehyung couldn't sleep that night, Jin was distancing himself, and he had no idea either to break through the walls or just let Jin be. Jin wasn't being rude or unreasonable, just not like he was before,

New settings went on for a week, and the third trimester would end soon with september ending.

Jin and taehyung are eating breakfast. This morning, taehyung was quick to get up and start cooking, but Jin didn't name any cravings,

" seokjin, I want to ask you something?" Taehyung has practiced it, exactly what he'll ask, " How's your therapy going? "

" great actually, i feel alot better, " lies, he still can't sleep at night, but with the help of his therapist he's been able to feel why he feels this way and why he thought distance might be a better option,

" That's good to hear, " tae speaks, his mouth full of food, " I'll not be home today, I am hanging out with a friend. "

Jin nods and continues eating his breakfast. He watches taehyung eat quickly and leave the house, a friend, probably someone Jin doesn't know.

Jin finds himself sleeping the whole day while taehyung is away. He woke up around eight, pacing around the house anxious, he hated sleeping during the daytime.

He orders himself food and eats it actually, he orders himself lots of fast food.

It takes him an hour to finish everything, he looks at the phone for time, almost 10 but taehyung still isn't home. Jin grunts, opening his Twitter. That's when he sees taehyung trending. He opens the hashtag and sees taehyung hanging out with someone unfamiliar.

" Right, he's out there having fun." Jin throws his phone on the couch,

It's around late at 1 am. when Jin is trying to sleep, he hears the door to his room open. The next second, the door closes shut. Taehyung had left after checking up on him, and Jin, in that second, smelled an omegas scent enveloping taehyung.
