Jin remained silent during their journey to Jeju. He didn't utter a word to Taehyung, nor did he apologize again. His mind was hazed, consumed by the hurtful words he had said to Taehyung during his fit. The remorse pricked Jin relentlessly.

After exiting the airport, Taehyung drove them to a restaurant for breakfast.

A place where his grandmother used to take him for his yearly birthday treat. The food was delicious, but Jin couldn't enjoy it. He sat at the table, staring into nothingness, feeling that Taehyung's demeanor had changed since their fight.

Taehyung didn't engage in much conversation with Jin either. He didn't ask Jin what he wanted to eat. He simply placed the order for both of them. When the elderly lady was done serving them their food, both Taehyung and Jin thanked her with a smile and respectful bows.

After she left, Taehyung asks Jin to eat when he noticed jin playing with his food, " Finish it all," was all he said, though.

Taehyung wanted to embrace Jin, to comfort him and dispel his sadness, but he restrained himself. He needed a little break for his own emotional well-being, though this didn't mean he would compromise on Jin's health.

Once they finished eating, Taehyung drove them to his old house, " You can go rest. I'll be out here in the living room if you need anything," Taehyung told Jin,

Jin hesitated, unable to imagine resting without Taehyung's scent beside him. He needed Taehyung close to rest peacefully in this unfamiliar place. He fiddled with the hem of his shirt, trying to find a way to voice his thoughts despite having lost his right to do so.

" I'll be joining you in some time," Taehyung assured him as he looked for something in his bag. He sensed Jin's unease and knew that Jin was anxious about sleeping alone in an unfamiliar bed, which also was what he whined the most about when he had to stay in America for a week without Taehyung.

Jin nodded and left the living room. He didn't explore the house much, not like there is much to explore. It is small, unlike any place he had ever lived, but it was neatly furnished with two small bedrooms, a congested kitchen. One of the bedroom doors was closed, so Jin entered the one with the open door. He didn't look around the room. He simply lays down, closes his eyes, and waits for Taehyung to come.

Half an hour passed by, but Taehyung hadn't joined him. Jin anxiously gets up from the bed and decides to look for Taehyung. He slid the room door open, peered outside, but found no sign of Taehyung.

Jin searches around the small house, but Taehyung is nowhere to be seen. He eventually enters the room with the closed door and discovers Taehyung fast asleep on the bed.

" Why did he say he'd come if he wasn't going to? " Jin wondered quietly. He closed the door to the room. It is still daytime, and Jin feels incapable of sleeping, even though his head aches.

He couldn't possibly sleep without Taehyung's scent to comfort him, and he didn't even have any of Taehyung's scented clothes to create a nest for familiarity.

Jin moves their suitcases to the bedroom, opening the cupboard to find it empty, but the lingering scent told him it was Taehyung's. He instinctively took a deep breath, recognizing the familiar scent.

He began to unpack his own clothes, he hung them one by one, his attires left little space for Taehyung's, but he managed.

Jin then carefully folds their casual wear. Afterward, he moved on to organize the small bathroom, which was surprisingly equipped. Jin surmised that this house had been recently furnished with new settings.

Once he had finished organizing, Jin cleared the bags away out of the way. Despite the physical discomfort caused by his weight. He managed to ignore it, moving swiftly.

When he is done, he sits on the floor, taking a deep breath, his back resting against the wall.

He places his hand gently on his belly, whispering, " I don't deserve you, or your dad," his eyes welled up with tears. The accumulated exhaustion and emotions flow out of him, and he wishes at that moment that he could turn back time and unsay the words, do something to fix all this, but the thought of it only makes him cry harder. Losing his senses, he hugs his belly tighter and continues, " I don't want to be a bad parent to you."

His sour scent fills the room, and he cries, his arms wrapped protectively around his belly, " I love you so much. I love you and your dad," he confesses with teary eyes.

Jin bites his lips, his hand soothing his pup or trying to. He knows he should stop crying.

His movements freeze when he feels the baby kick, right where his hand was, " Oh my God, finally. You were worrying me, little one. I'm so glad you're okay," he whispers as the baby kicks again, little harder this time.

"Okay, I get it, but this actually hurts, so stop," he chuckles softly, but the kicks keep coming, " I need you to calm down now, go to sleep," he smiles.

Jin realizes that if he hadn't slept for almost a day, it's impossible for the pup to rest, too. He did fall asleep a little on that long flight, but that wasn't proper rest.

Jin starts to get drowsy, and as he talks to the pup, the baby replies with little kicks. Soon, he's fast asleep right there on the floor, clutching his belly.

An hour later, Taehyung wakes up, smacking his head in realization. He was supposed to sleep with Jin. He groans as he gets up from the bed. He gets a bit frantic when he doesn't see the suitcases where he left them. He checks the other bedroom and sighs. The room is stinking of Jin's sour scent.

The omega was laying on the cold floor, his swollen face a giveaway to all the crying he must have done.

Taehyung picks Jin up from the floor and lays him gently down on the bed. His hand rests on Jin's lower stomach as he leans in to kiss the pout on the younger's face, whispering, " I'm never leaving."

Taehyung is brought out of his trance when his hand resting on Jin's stomach feels a kick. He grins in happiness, his other hand gently caressing Jin's belly as he says, " Seriously? " Another kick follows as a response to his question. "Okay, alright, stop, Appa is sleeping right now," he chuckles.

Taehyung keeps his hand where it was, but the pup doesn't stop kicking, " I have a feeling you want me to move my hand away," he says after a pause, feeling yet another kick.

Taehyung eventually withdraws his hand and smiles as he continues, " I'm guessing you have a mini you inside yourself, Seokjinnie. But this mini you is going to be very possessive about their Appa," he muses, thinking about the exciting journey ahead. Just three more months to go, and then they'll be parents.
