Sid reached the office and went to his cabin and started his work. After some time, he was tired so he thought to get a coffee for himself. He left his papers on the table and stood up stretching himself. He went out. Avu's cabin was in the way only. Before he could think, his feet took him towards her cabin. He knocked on the door.
Avu: Come in
He opened the door calmly and went inside without making any noise. He saw her busy typing on her computer. She was really busy that she didn't even look who it was till now. Her hair had got out of the bun. She put a hair flick behind her ear. Then she pulled out a paper clumsily and opened the pen with her mouth and started writing with the pen's cap clutched between her teeth. Sid forgot for a moment what he came here for as he was busy admiring her every action.
That's when Avu looked towards her side as she felt someone's presence. She called his name out to bring him back to reality. He shooked his head looking here and there lost. She raised her eyebrow in amusement wondering what was wrong with the boy.
Avu: What happened Mr.? Where are you?
Sid: Umm no nowhere
Avu checked her wristwatch.
Avu: Abhi to lunchtime mein bhi kaafi time hai. Tum yaha kaise?
Sid: Wo mein actually
Avu chuckled as he tried remembering what he came for. Her chuckle made him smile unknowingly. Avu put the pen and papers away and walked towards him. She tapped his cheek.
Avu: Jaoo thodi fresh hawa khaoo. Tumhari tabiyat kuch theek nhi lag rahi mujhe
Sid: Nhi I am fine
He said wiping the sweat that appeared on his forehead to which Avu frowned.
Avu: Kya ho gya tumhe? Mere cabin ka AC bhi bohot achhe se chal raha hai. Kuch chai coffee mangwa doo tumhe
Sid: Hnn coffee
Avu: Kya? Coffee chahie?
She was about to go towards the telephone and call the peon for coffee.
Sid: Arre nhi
Avu: To? Tumne zyada kaam to nhi kar lia? Ya kahi kaam tumhare sar ko to nhi chad gya na. Kaisi behki behki baatein kar rahe ho? Tabiyat theek hai tumhari?
She said checking his forehead by placing the back of her one hand there and the other hand on her shoulder.
Avu: Temperature to normal hi lag raha hai waise mujhe
Sid shooked his head removing her hand.
Sid: Arre nhi. Mein to bol raha tha ki mein ek chakkar bahar lagane jaa raha tha aur saath mein coffee pee aata hu. To socha tumse bhi poochhta chaloo. In case you would like to join
Avu: Oh. Aur yaha aate aate bhool gaye
She said laughing and Sid looked here and there embarrassed. But it was a half-truth. He got lost in her. He was smitten by the charm that she had without even trying. So he forgot but he couldn't say it to her directly.
Avu: Itni jaldi yadasht kamzor bhi hone lagi hai? Wah kya baat hai
Sid rolled his eyes.
Sid: Chalna hai ya nhi? Aaj bohot kaam hai yrr. Jaldi batao
Avu looked back at the table.
Avu: Hnn kaam to mere paas bhi bohot hai
Sid: To?
She spoke after thinking for a moment.
Avu: Chalo koi ni. Five ten minutes se kya hi farak padta hai? Chalo let's go
Sid: Okk. Come then
Avu: Hnn. Just a second. Let me take my phone
Sid nodded. Avu took her phone which was kept on charging. Sid walked out followed by Avu. They walked towards the cafeteria.
Sid: Bhayia 2 coffee. Please. Aur payment mere account mein daal dena
Cafeteria person: Jii sir
Avu: Kyu tumhare account mein? Let me pay for mine na at least
Sid: Arre it's okk. Next time tum kar dena
Avu: Kyu? Aaj tumhara birthday hai kya?
Sid: Chhodo na yrr
Avu shooked her head. The person gave them two coffees and they sat in the open.
Sid: Avu
Avu: Hmm?
She asked focusing on her coffee.
Sid: Actually Zalak di was asking me if we could go out somewhere this weekend
Avu: Hnn to jaoo. Achhi baat hai bhai behn ke saath time spend krna to
Sid: Arre nhi. I mean di pooch rahi thi ki tum aur Hazel bhi saath chalo to
Avu: But Sid. Tum dono ka family time. I mean hum logo ki wajah se kharab nhi hoga kya?
Sid: I don't think so. Hum sab milkar zyada mazze karenge I guess
Avu: Oh. If you insist. Then okk. Hum sab chalenge outing par
Sid: Okk then. Done. Kal ka pakka?
Avu: Ya okk. Jaana kaha hai?
Sid: Kahi bhi jaa sakte hai. Aese kuch decide nhi kia. Movie, amusement park ya kahi bhi jaha chaho
Avu: I don't mind anything. But ek restaurant hai. It's on the terrace. Bhayia bhabhi ko bohot pasand tha. Hum log kaafi baar jaaya karte the but unke baad I didn't go there only. Can we have lunch there?
She said with a shine in her eyes as she remembered Abhinavi. Sid immediately agreed. They decided to plan other things later and finished coffee and went back to work.
