Sid: But mom ye sab achanak se?
Vibha: Achanak se mtlb? Itna bada to ho gya hai. Job bhi hai. Achhi salary bhi hai. To ladki dekhne mein kya haraz hai bhala?
Sid: Mom mein abhi iss sab ke lie ready nhi hu. Can we please not talk about all this for now?
Vibha: Kyu? Kya problem hai? Kyu baat nhi karni? Shaadi to karni hi hai na
Sid: Ma mujhe abhi shaadi nhi karni. Aap please samjh meri baat ko
Vibha: To maine kab bola ki tu aaj hi shaadi karle. Ladki se mil to sakte hai na? Ya uss mein bhi problem hai?
Sid: Mom kya karna hai baat karke? Jab mein abhi shaadi karna hi nhi chahta to ladki dekhne mein kya point hai? Dad aap kuch bolo na mom ko. Aap chup chaap kyu bethe ho aese?
Ram: Mein tum dono maa bete mein nhi padna chahta. Jaise tum dono ko theek lagata hai karlo
Sid: Dad that's not fair. Aap mere saath aese nhi kar sakte
Vibha: Dekh Sid itna pareshaan hone wali baat nhi hai bete. Mein bass ladki se milne ko bol rahi hu. Achhi lagegi koi to bacha baat aage badaenge nhi to theek hai na. Itna chinta wali baat thoda hai. Shaadi 6 mahine, saal baad jab manm kare kar lena. Mein tujhe shaadi ke lie nhi boloongi. Teri life hai jab tu tyaar ho karna. Par ladkio se milne mein to koi haraz nhi hai na?
Ram: Waise beta hum bhi chahte hai ki tum dono ki family ho settle ho jaoo. Aur agar tumhari ma keh rhi hai ki ladki se ek baar millo to kya problem hai?
Sid: Okk fine but mujhe do din sochne ka time mil sakta hai please
Vibha was about to speak but Ram spoke up.
Ram: Theek hai. Teri life hai aur tu samajdaar hai itna. I know jo bhi decision lega soch samaj kar hi lega aur theek hi hoga. Tum chinta matt karo Vibha mujhe apne bacho par poora bharosa hai
Vibha nodded unwillingly. Zalak was just quietly sitting pretending to read her book during all this conversation. After some time, Vibha and Ram went to their room.
Sid: Di
Zalak: Hmm?
Sid: Help karo na yrr meri. Ye sab kya ho raha hai mere saath yrr?
Zalak: Kya ho raha hai matlab? Mom Dad shaadi ke baare mein soch rahe hai teri
Sid: Hnn to meri help karo. Nhi karni mujhe shaadi
Zalak: Hmm mujhe to hamesha chidata rehta hai shaadi ke naam par. Ab jab khud ki baari aayi to itna jaldi problem ho gayi
Sid: Di I am serious
Zalak: Hnn mein bhi serious hu. Ladki dekhne mein kya problem hai? Tu ladko mein interested hai kya? If you are I will talk to Mom and Dad. Kyu time waste karna ladki doondne mein? Seedha ladka hi doonde. Mujhe pasand aaya to mein rakh loongi nhi to tu rakh lio
Sid was looking at her with a "Are you serious?" look.
Zalak: Achha okk. Let's be serious. Kyu nhi dekhni ladki? Koi achhi bhi to lag sakti hai tujhe? Ya tune already ladki doond rakhi hai? Hai koi girlfriend to tell me
Sid: Aesa kuch nhi hai. I am just not ready for marriage and now for now
Zalak: Hmm. Chal will think something. Abhi sone chalte hai
Sid: Okk
They both went to sleep. Two days more passed away and Sid was just avoiding the topic of meeting any girl. Weekend came. Sid, Zalak and Akshit planned to go to Avu's home on Saturday. As always, Avu and Zalak prepared lunch while Sid and Akshit spent time with Hazel. They helped her in doing her homework and then did some painting. They had lunch together teasing each other. Hazel again had food from Sid and slept after some time in Sid's arms.
Avu: Laoo isse andar suladoo
Sid: Na she will wake up
He said while busy admiring Hazel. Avu smiled seeing the two of them. Zalak was observing them all three with a smile on her face and tears in her eyes.
Zalak's P.O.V.
My small baby bro. Isse kabhi mein aese sambhalti thi. Apne haath se khilati thi fir sulaya bhi karti thi lori gaakar. Uske saath saara din khelti. Aur ab wo itna bada ho gya ki khud iss bachi ko aese sambhal raha jaise uska father ho. I can't believe how fast he grew up. The three of them are literally looking like a family. Sid tum mujhe uss din bata nhi rahe the na ki koi ladki hai ya nhi to tumne mana kar dia. Par maine bhi tumhe apne haatho mein khilaya hai. Tumse better jaanti tumhare dil mein kya chalta hai. I know you from the inside out and I can't express mujhe kitni khushi hoti hai tumhe itna responsible dekh kar and how you act like a father to that small baby girl. I love you bro.
P.O.V. ends
While admiring them both, suddenly she saw Akshit going out on the balcony. She looked back at Sidneet and they were busy with each other so she thought to give them privacy and went behind Akshit. Akshit was standing staring at the sky with teary eyes. Zalak put a hand on his shoulder. He immediately wiped his tears and turned around. But she could easily make out from his face that he was crying.
