Chapter 10: Do Over?

A/N So since tomorrow is my prom I'm going to update a little earlier. This chapter is also a little shorter. Next week, though, I'll update on Thursday like usual. Bianca Lawson is supposed to be what Nicki looks like. And for some reason I can't upload another picture but Bryshere Gray A.K.A Yazz The Greatest A.K.A Hakeem Lyon is what Trey looks like.... It was Monday morning now and I was just waking up about to start my morning routine. After I hung up with Dinah I went to get Matt and Alicia so we could all go eat. Well they were eating I was just drinking water. It was actually nice. We all were having a normal conversation like nothing ever happened. We listened to Matt talk about Pre-K and Alicia about different things she did throughout her day in Daycare. 

After dinner my mom took the kids upstairs to get them ready for bed. I took the opportunity to talk to my dad and as I suspected, he reacted the way my mom did. He told me, though, that he was going to still be searching for him which I understood but I was more focused on the fact that my family is slowly coming back together.

I was so caught up in my thoughts I didn't realize I had to get to school. Today I was driving myself to school so I hurried downstairs and grabbed a banana. As I went to get my bag I saw Matt and Alicia up watching Spongebob. I kissed them and told them to wake up Mom when the episode ended, then left to school.

When I got there I went to my locker as usual. I hadn't talked to Nadia or Lauren over the weekend because we were all busy so I went to find them as soon as I closed my locker.

I found them in the normal spot we usually stand be fore breaking for class. When I walked up to them they immediately hugged me.

"Hey boo!"

"Hey, Y/N/N!" 

They both said at the same time.

"Hey guys, what's up?"

"OMG! You haven't heard yet?!" 

Lauren yelled. Giggling, I shook my head.

"No, what happened?"

"Nadia finally found Bae."

"WHAT!? When? Who? Where?"

I questioned quickly. Nadia just laughed before answering.

"Calm down. But yeah. I found someone. His name is Trey. We met over the weekend at this carnival a few hours away. He's so sweet and he wants to take me out this weekend."

"Awww, that's so cute."

"I know right." Lauren agreed. Nadia stood there blushing hard and it made me and Lauren squeal even more. 

Our celebration, though, was interrupted by the bell.

"Okay, I'll see you guys at practice." Nadia said.

"Okay. Oh! And remind me I have to tell you about D.J., Nadia. I'm gonna tell Laur now since I see her almost all day."

"Boo, you whore." She replied.

"Love you too" I said while me and Lauren walked off to Art.

We had 30 minutes left of Art after we finished our classwork. I told Lauren as soon as we were done what happened both with Dinah and my family. She was happy for me with my family and felt bad with the whole Rima thing. She told me not to worry though because she can tell how much Dinah cares about me. By the time I was done telling her everything the bell was going to ring so we started packing.

"Okay, class. I know this is art but art is not just about drawing. Art comes in many different forms. So, next week you will be singing a song that you like. It's an individual project. Pick a song, perform it, you get 100 points on the assignment. Its a pass or fail grade so do it and pass or don't and fail."
