"Oscar Jack Piastri!"

"What the hell are you middle-naming me for, you moron?"
"Where are you?!" I hissed through the phone as I watched Oscar's mum sitting in our living room as I stood in the kitchen, "Your mother's here!"
Oscar laughed, "I'm at the gym with Lando. I forgot to tell you my mum was coming over for the weekend. Sorry!"
"You forgot or you did it on purpose?" I asked as I heard Lando's voice in the background, "Oscar, she thinks we're dating and we moved in together and you didn't tell her! Do you realize the kind of situation you've thrown me into?!"
"You're literally my best friend." Oscar said cheerfully, and I felt the usual annoying pain shooting right through my heart, "We moved in together for practicality's sake."
"Well, come back this instant and tell her that, will you? I'm going to make some cake or-"
"Can you make pancakes, please? You're the prettiest girl I have ever met!" I heard Lando asking through the phone, making me sigh.
"Yeah, I'll make pancakes, bring that kiss-ass. But you're not off the hook Piastri, I'll murder you!"
I heard Oscar laugh, making me smile, "Yeah, yeah. We'll be home in twenty."
"I know you can make it here in fifteen."
"We're F1 drivers, darling," I heard Lando before he huffed as if he'd been hit, "we can be there in less than ten if you ask nicely."
"I want you both home safe and sound, alright? That being said I'm wildly desperate so please hurry."
I heard them both laugh before Oscar spoke again "Don't worry, sunshine, we'll be there in no time."
I hung up, taking a deep breath before I went back to Oscar's mum,

"Oscar will be back in no time, Mrs. Piastri-"
"Just Nicole is fine, darling." She offered me a warm smile, which I retributed, "Are you also an F1 driver?"
I shook my head, "Oh no, not yet. I hope to be someday, but for now, I'm still in F2."
Nicole smiled, "Oscar's always wanted to be an F1 driver, it makes me lose ages every time I see him race, but he's doing what he loves."
I smiled, "My mum usually has a heart attack whenever she sees me race," I chuckled lightly, "Would you like something to drink? It's Oscar's week to do the groceries, so I don't really know what I can offer you."
"If you have some coffee, I'd like some, please."
I nodded as I stood up and she came with me to the kitchen, as I prepared her coffee, "That I know we have!"
"I'm sorry honey, I don't think I even asked your name." Nicole laughed slightly and I smiled.
"Oh it's okay, I'm Y/N."
Nicole's face lightened up as she heard my name, "The Y/N? Oscar spends his time talking about you. And yet he failed to mention you are living together. You'd think that would be worth mentioning to his mother, but no. "
I shrugged, "Most of the time we're not really living together. This is a rare occasion. Since we travel all over the world for the races, we don't spend much time at home really. We just decided to be practical and rent an apartment together. It's one of the best solutions we came up with."
"So, how long have you been dating?"
I shook my head as I heard the door unlock, "Oh, we're not dating, just-"

"She doesn't let me take her out." Oscar called as he walked in, with Lando right behind him, "Hi mum."
They hugged as Lando came and swept me into his arms, making me laugh, "Hi Lan."
"Hi, favorite person in the world and prettiest girl in all this land." Lando then turned to hug Oscar's mum, "Hi Mrs Piastri, it's nice to see you again!"
Lando hugged Nicole once more, before promptly returning to throw an arm over my shoulders, "I was promised pancakes."
"Let me finish making the coffee and I'll get to it, jeez Lan, you're just like a kid."
"You love me." Lando teased as he kissed my head, and from the corner of my eye, I saw Oscar glare at him.
"You have your moments." I got the coffee and slid the mug to Nicole, "Sugar? Milk? Cream?"
"We're out of cream," Oscar said as he grabbed the sugar from the cupboard and handed it to his mum.
"Add it to your list then. It's your turn to get the groceries."
Oscar sighed in fake despair, "I was hoping you'd forgotten that."
I laughed, "You wish, Piastri."
I turned to Lando, "You helping me make the pancakes?"
Lando smiled brightly, nodding at me, "Of course I am!" He then turned to Oscar, smirking, "Why don't you go catch up with your mum in the living room? Y/N and I got the pancakes!"
Nicole nodded as she stood up, her mug in her hand, "Amazing idea! My son doesn't tell me anything anymore, so we really need to catch up!"
I watched as Nicole made her way out, and Oscar glared in Lando's direction, "I got my eye on you, mate."
