Fri. 8

Today, I finally remember and allocate time to write this diary. It's gonna be deathly long =))

First, my trip to SP and LC city. We woke up, ate breakfast then went to an office of HSHV by taxi. It was nice, the office was normal but it offered free wifi :D, then one person of the office took us as well as a dozen more people to MD station, some kilometers away from the office. We hurriedly went to a coach, started our journey. I listened to music for most of the time on the coach, and in the fullness of time, we arrived at SP city. It was 2 in the afternoon. Then we went all the way to out hotel on a taxi. the cab driver got on our nerves as he never stopped the car: he inched each and every centimeter forward while we stuck in an unexpected traffic congestion! Then I basically skipped lunch since I had already eaten a dumpling on the coach. We quickly checked in, received our hotel room, changed our clothes and went to C.C village, a traditional village situated in a lovely valley. It was filled with people =)) The tickets were crazily exorbitant, we stepped down the hill slowly, basking in the scorching heat of the Sun. Every now and again we purchased some drinks to quench our thirst. But in return for that, we had memorable experience and gorgeous photos with a lavender garden, with a golden rice paddy, with a surreal waterfall. I also saw traditional costumes as well as mountainous people by my own eyes. Just unforgettable. Then we came back for showering then had a meal out. We had grilled food: cakes, corns, eggs, meat, fish, vegetables, ... it was delicious. One striking thing to note is that the weather was so cold that we all had to wear a coat. Sitting round a fire made us much warmer. Then we strolled a bit round the bustling town, took photos, watched traditional dance (though to be honest, the majority of dancers were kids and adolescents, and their performances weren't good). But they offered me a deep insight into their harsh life and issues.

Next day, we headed for the highest mountain in our country. So developed is the tourism that we could use cables to go to the top of the mountain. The only thing is we were packed like sardines. In my book, there were several thousand people there, in one station, on the platforms, on the mountains, in some pagodas on the mountains =)) It was crazy, you know. But we made it. Another sad thing is that it was wholly engulfed by mist and clouds, so we saw nothing but an ivory white color. The weather condition was not favorable for taking photos or anything like that, but I guess that's the once-in-a-life-time experience, so yeah. Then we went down, and the Sun was still shining as if the tremendous mist enshrouding mountains hadn't existed. I got some nice photos, as though I was in a palace :33 then we had lunch, it was tasty. Then we moved to LC city, I was really satisfied by a dangerous drive: driving round kilometers of mountainous roads. It was really worth it, I can tell you. And I along with my sister stayed in one separated room in a hotel. I can write a whole story about this once glorious hotel (I believe it was once glamorous and contemporary as it had swimming pools, many facilities, but perhaps due to the fact that it hasn't had many customers, it has had to closed down some facilities, and now there are few workers there, and it looks not appealing anymore). But the interior is still memorable with luxurious beds, lamps, mirrors,... I am convinced that this is one of the most remarkable hotel in my life. We didn't do much that day, just chilled at a cafe after dinner.

On the next day, we tried to pass the border legally but didn't succeed owing to some political reasons. So we just played round some temples and came back to the hotel. At least I saw my neighbor country by my own eyes...

That's all for a memorable trip. This year I'm grateful because I could go on 3 trips a year, an unprecedented number. Love all places that I've gone. Hope that I'll be able to go to further places in the future.

Sun. 10
Yesterday I went to a spa to have my armpit (and leg) hair removed. It was a bit painful at some spots (near my ankles for instance) idk why but when the laser reached there, I grimaced intensely =)) anyway, now my legs are immaculate, I am certainly confident to wear skirts as well as shorts.

Then on Saturday afternoon, I went to take a mock IELTS test and the results would soon be announced. My listening experience was awful largely due to my lack of concentration. I have no idea but I could not focus on the tasks, but fortunately, my reading outshone it. It went like clockwork ! My speaking was done on Friday, after talking "nonsense things" with my fellows for an hour and a half. It was fine, though tbh, I am not satisfied with my pronunciation. My writing was fine, the topic was rather arduous at the first glance, but I managed to sail through it. Hope the results will be good.

I am orienting myself in my new school, new schedule, new teachers. I have got to know more people, participated in an event and got prizes (candies, a miniature game, snacks, and a cute girl who is one year older than me). I am trying to raise my hands as much as I can so I can gain confidence, recognition, and most importantly, incredible marks.

One sad thing: I forgot my phone at my teacher's house today, for the second time in my life =))
