"Hello, maa!" I articulated and sniffled.

"Princess," she spoke with utter surprise. "Who made you cry this time?" she demanded with aggression lacing in her voice.

As if my brain was on his side it replayed all of the good memories we shared. Those movie nights and chitter-chatters. His care to make me food when I got periods.

"Tell me what happened. Who made you cry?" she demanded again. Her voice sounded aggressive.

"I...burned my finger," I lied.

"Thats it."

I hummed.

"Oh, dear, you are always welcome to come back and live with me. And you don't have to do the work you are doing."

But he always hurt me. I have a fucking pride and he keeps disrupting it.

"I have to say something..." I ceased speaking when I saw Prince approaching me.

"I will call you later maa."

"Do not make me wait. If you do, I will send your cousin to kidnap you."

I laughed and added. It's like kidnapping people is the tradition of our family. "Okay, maa!"

I wiped out my tears while Prince positioned himself beside me. We might be looking like Masha and the Bear to others.

"I am sorry," He apologized.

"But why?"

"To not give you complete information when you asked about Thursday.

"It's not only his birthday but also the death of his elder sister, Abha. Every year he only mourns her death by performing prayers to her with his family. I am not in the right place to tell why she committed suicide but he always blames that on his father and him. As she died on his birthday, he curses his life for his sister's death. Before we started to house he had a disturbed argument with his father and that anger he happened to take on you."

"I understand his pain. I am sorry for his sister. But, I am not a piece of shit for him to keep insulting. And. I decided, I don't want to work for him anymore."

'But."

"No Prince. Don't try to convince me. I thought...forget it..."

"He is not a bad man."

"I never say that. But I am thankful for one thing: he showed me my limits tonight in front of everyone."

"Rid–"

"And tell me how was your mom's reaction when you gave her a gift?" I asked, changing the topic. If I weren't into Aryan those words of his wouldn't have insulted me so much.

"I didn't get time to visit her."

"Hmmm...why didn't you get married till now?"

"My bride ran a day before the wedding night. Everyone made my mother's and mine jest. Then I decided to join a bodyguard agency."

'Does your boss have a problem with your wedding?"

'No. But...I have no intentions of getting married."

"Doesn't your mom wish to see you with your family?"

He nodded. "But now it's too late."

"No. Not at all. There are a few women who might need you in their life." he raised his brow. "I don't mean physically." We laughed. "But yes emotionally. There might be someone who is a widow or divorced with kids. This society will not let them live with liberty and if you become her support as husband, don't you think it will be helpful for her?"
