Dreams Can Come True

Chapter Fourteen....

Ten minutes after flipping through the clothes on the rack in her wardrobe, Katalina finally decided on a little blue satin dress with spaghetti straps.

Happy with the choice she's made, she quickly went got herself ready and by 5:30pm she started making her way to the Pearlstone Tavern.

Need to say, her heart was racing away with her and her stomach was doing mayjor flip flops.

"Okay, get a grip on yourself Katalina!" she told herself before stepping inside the Tavern.

Walking inside the Tavern, she didn't expect it to be like this.

For the inside of the Tavern was done up in a  mid western style, and the main bar was done in a rich shade of reds and browns.

On each table was a lantern with a lite candle and a small vase with a sunflower in it as the centrepiece.

On each wall throughout the whole Tavern was some sort of western style oil paintings done by the man who had built the Tavern 20 odd years ago.

The place was absolutely breathtaking.

Just than a young waitress approaches her, asked for a name and tells Katalina to follow her.

The young waitress leads her over to a table in the corner right next to the stage.

"Your date Sir, has arrived!"

As Drayce stands up, he says to Katalina,
"I'm so glad you made it... please take a seat.

But before the waitress turned to leave, Drayce ordered a bottle of their finest bubbly.

Returning to the table a minute later, the young waitress poured them both a drink, took their order and told them that would be roughly 40 minutes.

After she left, Katalina turned to face Drayce and thanked him for the invite to tea.

Drayce smiles at Katalina, as he tells her there's absolutely no-one else he'd rather ask to join him for dinner.

Than he picks up his glass of bubbly, raises it in the air and says," Here's to a bloody good night out!"

"Cheers," Katalina say's as she clicks her glass against his, than takes a sip.

Just than the band started playing and Drayce looked straight at Katalina and said,
"Do you want to dance with me?"

" I thought you'd never ask," she said taking hold of his hand as he lead her out to the dance floor.

As the music played, he pulled her in close against him and the heat off his breath lingered on her neck, sending chills down her spine, not to mention it also sent her heart racing.

If only he knew what effect he was having on her.

After the song had ended, they headed back to their table and poured themselves another drink while they waited for there main meal.

When Katalina noticed Drayce starring at her.

"Mm? Oh sorry, I couldn't help but stare at you - your smile is gorgeous."

Katalina blushes, as she takes yet another sip of her drink.

Oh he definitely had all the right words, all the right moves...

"Chill girl," she told herself.

Right at that particular moment, the young waitress walks over to there table to serve their main meal.

" Oh wow, this is delicious," Katalina said taking a bite of her mushroom steak.

" Pleased to hear your enjoying your meal," Drayce said washing his meal down with another mouthful of his drink.

Not long after finishing their meal, they both headed back to the dance floor for another dance.

Katalina was so deep in conversation, that she never noticed Romilly and Zerenity had walked in.

"O.M.G... don't look now, but isn't that Katalina over there on the dance floor with some hot guy?"

"What the hell are you rambling on about Romilly?"

She tells Zerenity to take a look over near the stage, and than she says,"Okay, so is that or is that not Katalina dancing with some hot guy?"

Zerenity  takes a quick glance and nods her head as she says,"Yep, that's definitely her.... but I haven't a clue who her mystery guy is, as I've never seen him around town before.
So what do you think we should do?  Should we go over and say hi?"

" No, I think we should maybe leave them be and exit out of here," Romilly  answered as she turned to walk back out of the Tavern.

As the night went on, both Drayce and Katalina danced to a couple more songs, spoke about all kinds of stuff and just really enjoyed each other's company.

Around 10pm, Drayce walked Katalina back to her house, and she thanked him for a lovely evening before turning to open the front door to let herself in.

Closing the door behind her, she then headed up to her room, quickly changed into her nightie and climbed into bed.

As she layed in bed, she couldn't help but think about her lovely night out with Drayce.

What an absolute dream guy, she thought as she started to doze .

In the morning on the other side of town, both Romilly and Zerenity ran into Dayana while in town.

"Hey Dayana, have we got some news for you... and your not going to believe it -  not in a million years."

Dayana look's straight at Romilly with a puzzled look on her face, as she tells her to continue.

"Well last night both Zerenity and myself went out to the Pearlstone Tavern, and while there, we spotted Katalina..... but she wasn't alone. She was on the dance floor dancing with some hot guy."

Dayana couldn't believe her ears, as she said,"WHAT? No-way, I don't believe it!"

Both Romilly and Zerenity nodded their head's as they both said to Dayana she better believe it, cause it's as true as they are standing right there in front of her.

"She was with some mystery guy who we've never seen here in town before," they added.

Dayana was totally baffled, as she mumbled to herself," Mmm I wonder who this mystery man is!"
