Chapter 45

"Say aah"
"Aaaaaah"
"Yup, there's no problem with your jaw" Shinobu smiled at Nezuko as she finished checking her jaw,
"I'm sorry, I can't see you all off. But please do your best from now on" Nezuko grinned in return,
"Yes! Thank you so much!".

"Ah, oh yeah, Shinobu-San! There's one more thing I want to ask before I leave"
"What is it?"
"Have you heard of the Hinokami Kagura?"
"Nope" Shinobu just smiled innocently while Nezuko started panicking,
"Huh?! Agh! Then, then... Then what about fire breathing or-" Shinobu waved her hand,
"Nope". Nezuko then explained the situation from the start to Shinobu.

"I see. For some reason your father was using fire breathing, huh? So you think you might learn something by asking some one else who uses fire breathing? There isn't any such thing as fire breathing, but there is flame breathing" Nezuko just stared at Shinobu with dotted eyes,
"Aren't they the same?"
"I don't know the details either... I'm sorry. It's just, in that situation, there's a very strict rule about the phrasing. But, you must never call it fire when it's flame breathing. For the details it may be a good idea to ask Rengoku-San, the flame hashira about it. Or Y/n-San".

Shinobu turned to the window where there was a crow sitting,
"Let's send a crow to do it... even though it will be a little while until a reply comes"
"Oh!" Shinobu stood up and walked over to a draw. She reached into the draw and took out some bandages,
"Here. Give these to Y/n-San. They asked me awhile ago for some more, because they ran out".

Nezuko had left Shinobus' office and was walking through the hallways,
'All right time to go!'
'Hm? Someone's coming' Nezuko was about to walk around the corner when a taller, muscular guy with a mow hawk turned the corner, bumped into Nezuko and walked away.

Nezuko held onto her now sore shoulder,
'I moved aside but her purposely bumped into me' Nezuko then realised something and turned around to look at the guy,
'Hm? That guy... was from the final selection!'
'He punched the white haired girl. He also got blessed with an amazing physique in just a short amount of time. And why is he here?"

Nezuko then called out to the man,
"It's been a while!! I'm glad you look well!!" The guy just ignored Nezuko and continued to walk away. Nezuko just stood there with dotted eyes.

"Is that so. Your leaving already. Our time together was short, but it was great to be able to share it together, good luck" Aoi then turned back around to continue with the laundry,
"Thank you..."
"Be careful!"
"You took care of us so much" Nezuko smiled.

She then continued,
"I'm really thankful for caring for us when you were busy. Thanks to you, I can fight again" Aoi turned to glance at Nezuko before turning back around to continue with folding the laundry,
"Compared to you guys, I'm not doing much, so there's no need for thanks. I'm a wimp who just got lucky in the selections and survived. I couldn't go into battle afterwards because I was  afraid".

Nezuko looked confused for a moment then smiled,
"That has nothing to do with it. You're already a part of me because you helped me out,
Aoi-San. I'll think about you when I go into battle!" Aoi turned to look at Nezuko surprised. Nezuko started to run to her next location but turned around, smiled and waved,
"If I get injured again, I'll be in your care!".

Nezuko ran up to Kanao who was currently sitting on the engawa admiring the scenery,
"Ah! There you are! Kanao!" Nezuko waved at the girl. Nezuko stood next to girl,
"We're gonna depart now. Thanks for everything." Kanao just smiled up at Nezuko,
"..." Nezuko smiled awkwardly,
"You're amazing. We joined at the same time, but you're already a tsuguko. We're gonna do our best too"
"..."
"Uuhm"
"....".

Kanao continued to smile up at Nezuko while Nezuko smiled awkwardly. Kanao took out a coin and flipped it. It landed on her hand and when she revealed it, tails was displayed on the coin,
"I just followed my instructors orders. There's no reason to give me thanks, so goodbye" Nezuko just stood there stunned for a moment before smiling,
'She spoke!'.

"What did you just flip just now?"
"Goodbye"
"What's that?" Nezuko gestured to the coin Kanao was holding,
"Goodbye"
"Money?" Nezuko sat down next to Kanao,
"There's something written on the heads and tails. Why did you flip it?"
"..."
"It really spins".

Kanao held up her hand with the coin resting in her palm,
"I decided to flip this when I'm not being instructed. I decided whether I should talk to you or not. Heads means, 'I won't talk' and tails means, 'I will talk' it was tails, so I talked. Goodbye" Kanao smiled at Nezuko after her explanation,
"Goodbye".

"Why can't you decide on your own?"
"..."
"What did you want to do yourself? "
It doesn't matter. None of this matters. So I can't decide anything on my own"
"I don't think there's anything in this world that's not worth caring about" Nezuko continued,
"I'm sure. You have a small voice in your heart, Kanao. But it's important to abide by your orders too".

Nezuko them fully turned around to face Kanao,
"Could I borrow that?" Nezuko pointed at the coin,
"Eh? Sure... ah..."
"Thanks!" Nezuko grinned. She took a hold of the coin and walked a bit into the garden,
"Alright! I'll settle this through a flip!"
"Settle what?" Kanao was confused.

Nezuko smiled widely,
"About whether or not, from now on, you'll listen to your own heart, Kanao" Nezuko then flip the coin extremely high into the air,
"Waaaah! I flipped it too high!" Nezuko panicked a little bit,
"Heads!! I call heads! I'd it lands on heads you'll live by what your heart desires Kanao!".

Nezuko started to panic again,
"Wa! wha! Were it go?" Nezuko was still able to catch the coin,
"Got it! I got it! Kanao!!" Kanao just looked stunned. Nezuko ran over to her, hand drill covering the coin. Nezuko took her hand of the coin to rwvwal what was on it.
"IT'S HEEEEAAADSS!" Nezuko jumped up and down out of excitement.

Nezuko took a hold of Kanaos' hands,
"Good luck!! People are driven by their hearts so your heart can grow stronger than ever!!"
"..." Nezuko turned around and waved,
"Okay! See you again one day!" Kanao watched Nezuko start to run away,
"Wh- why did it come out heads?" Kanao called out to Nezuko.

Nezuko stopped running and grinned,
"It was by chance. Besides if it was tails, I planned to flip it lots of times until it landed heads!" Nezuko waved again and continued to run,
"Take care!".
