Chapter 1 (OLD)

Aether's POV:

It's been ages since I visited Liyue so after I said bye to everyone in Inazuma, I hopped on a boat and took off to Liyue with Paimon. At first it was strange how everyone was so similar whoever I saw but I couldn't tell where from. But as soon as I heard a yell from a brown haired individual it hit. I actually got on the Crux!

"Everyone get ready to sail!" - B

Beidou yelled as she stood up proudly with confidence. My eyes immediately landed on her and so did hers. With that me and Paimon took the opportunity to raise our hands and wave in her direction. To that she nodded and smiled then in a bit we took off.

"Why don't we go to Beidou? Let's go say hi!" - P

Paimon turned to me and said. To that I nodded and we made our way in her direction. Once we were in a visible range she immediately striked up a conversation.

"Well if it isn't the the Traveler who gained back the god's powers! How come the waves brought you on this ship?" - B

Beidou laughed out and Paimon immediately answered.

"We are returning to give a visit in Liyue! We haven't been back since a while so we thought it was time!" - P

"Damn right it was! Lantern Rite is in just a week so your timing is perfect!" - B

Beidou said so then Paimon's lips curled up into a big wide smile as she spoke.

"Yeah, we planned our times out so we can attend every nation's events!... Also, Beidou will you attend Lantern Rite this year?" - P

Beidou twisted the wheel and then responded.

"Not publicly but I will deliver some goods for the preparations in the background to Ningguang." - B

"Oh makes sense! Anyways is Kazuha not here this time?" - P

Beidou's wide smile to that question faded and instead it became a bit more of a forced smile instead.

"Ah so you didn't hear?" - B

"Hear what?" - P

"Kazuha settled down in Sumeru after developing a romantic interest with one of the locals there. I don't know if you know them but they are known as "Wanderer" or his other names you might know him as were "Kunikuzushi", "Kabukimono", "Balladeer" or "Scaramouche"." - B

Paimon's and my eyes opened wide and she yelled out of surprise.

"WHAT?! WANDERER AND KAZUHA?!" - P

Beidou's eyes to that just opened wide and then she smiled lightly.

"Yes. I know he was a Fatui Harbinger and all that but after I met him I don't think he is so bad of a person. I know he's genuine about loving Kazuha and cares about him. And Kazuha feels the same way. That's all that matters to me. People can change." - B

Beidou said and then twisted the wheel again with a light smile.

"All though... It's not the same riding the wild waves without Kazuha but I still got my crew, and now also you guys! So it's not bad!" - B

I to that smiled and said.

"Yes, keep being positive! The captain needs to show their best side!" - A

Beidou to that turned to me and smiled.

"Also we got a new regular since then. It wasn't long after you left for Fontaine." - B

"A new regular?" - P

"Yes, a delivery person. We help her deliver goods all around the seven nations. She's from Komaniya Express." - B

"Oh, Oh! That's definitely Kirara!" - P

Paimon said with excitement and to that I nodded since I thought the same thing.

"Oh so you know her too? That's amazing!" - B

The conversation went on for a long while as the crux sliced through the waves. In around five hours the ship reached the shore and stopped in Liyue Harbor. Soon me and Paimon got off and said bye to the crew of the crux. Since we were hungry we chose that the best option to visit first would be Wanmin restaurant so we immediately took our way in that direction.

As we were getting close we could hear the usual lady yelling "Sweet and Tasty Chop Suey!!" and that made us feel such Deja Vu in our hearts that we couldn't help but smile wide. We soon sat down and Chef Mao immediately greeted us with a smile.

"Hello! It's been a long time traveler! What can I get you?" - CM

"A serving of Crab Roe Tofu and Rice Buns please!" - A

"Coming right up!" - CM

Me and Paimon began chatting about all sorts of things while we waited for the food. Suddenly in the corner of our eyes a familiar face jumped up and scared the hell out of us. It was Xiangling!

"Hey there you two!" - X

"Xiangling! Hi!" - P

"Hey you two planning to stay for a while again?" - X

I nodded and to that Xiangling's eyes sparkled.

"How long, how long?" - X

"Like a month." - A

Xiangling smiled wide and then made a suggestion.

"Hey! Then after things calm down after the Lantern Rite.. Don't you wanna let Paimon stay here for a week?" - X

My eyes immediately opened wide at the hearing of that and then I with a kinda confused look I looked at Paimon who was smiling wide. For me I knew it would be lonely if I was separated from Paimon since we have been traveling for 6 years now and it would just feel wrong to be separated from her for a long period of time. But I mean after I find my sister we probably gonna part ways anyways so we better prepare for that as well. So I let a small smile erupt my face and said the following to Xiangling.

"Sure. I don't mind!" - A

"Yes!!" - X & P

Xiangling and Paimon yelled out loud in happiness. Soon our food arrived and we began to eat. Our day went by so fast and we met so many people we met before that I couldn't even count. Last it was time that we booked a room in Wangshu Inn and took a rest since the day has gone by fast we still didn't meet many people we wanted to and also Zhongli planned to meet us too in two days on saturday, so it's better to be well rested.

Around like 2-3 hours we arrived to Wangshu Inn and as soon as we got to the entrance I spotted Verr Goldet. We headed to her and booked one of the best rooms for the month. Before we were about to head to sleep we headed out on the balcony and looked far as we saw the sun slowly hide behind the tall mountains of Liyue, the nation of Geo.
