The next day, he came back as he had promised her the day before today. He looked at her as she was sleeping until she opened her eyes.
"Huh, who are you and why are you here?"
"Wake up and see who it is"
"Is it you Oz?"
"Surprised"
"I thought you were joking when you said you were coming today"
"I would never joke about something as serious as this"
"Oh well, why are you here so early?"
"I'm here for us to discuss"
"Discuss what exactly?"
"The solution to your health problem"
"What solution do you have in mind exactly?"
"Marry me?"
"What did you just say?"
He could tell from her shock that she wasn't expecting to hear that. He takes a deep breath as he is preparing to repeat it.
"I said marry me"
"Why would you want to marry me? I'm soon going to die"
"You can help me as well"
"How can I be of any use to you?"
"My family wants me to marry someone from a rich family who may not be my type of girl. You on the other hand are my type of girl"
"So what is in it for me?"
"I'll pay for all your health visits and any other thing you need"
"Uh I don't know about this"
"I'll let you think about it. Here is my card"
He gets up and leaves my room. She is confused as she doesn't know if she should accept it. The doctor came in and saw she was flustered.
"Are you okay Zeina?"
"Yeah, I'm ok. Why wouldn't I be okay?"
"You seem flustered. Is anything bothering you?"
"No nothing is bothering me".
"Are you sure?"
"Yes, I'm sure. Thanks for asking"
"No problem. I'll be in my office if you need anything"
"Ok thank you doc"
"You're welcome"
The doctor leaves the room and goes back to her office. She knows she can't afford the bills and needs the help. She thinks about it as she falls asleep.
