Chapter 16

The alarm clock rang in his ear alerting him to wake up, go take a shower, and get dressed for work. He quickly made breakfast for her, left it on the kitchen table, and drove off to work. He clocked into work, called the secretary to bring the files to him, and started working in his office.

Meanwhile, she was still asleep in bed and hadn't woke up to see that he was not in bed and had gone to work. moments later, she woke up feeling hungry and turned around to see if he was in bed and noticed he had already left. she wondered if he had left food for her to eat as she didn't see it in the room, she took her to call him and asked him over the phone.

"Good morning my love," Zeina said

"Morning honey" Oz replied

"Where are you?" Zeina asked

"I'm at work darling" Oz replied

"Oh ok um honey," Zeina said

"Yes darling" Oz replied

"Did you cook something for me to eat this morning?" Zeina asked

"Of course I did" Oz replied

"I don't see it" Zeina replied

"Have you got up from the bed to see where it is? I didn't have time to bring it into the room" Oz replied

"No, I haven't gotten up from the bed. Where did you leave it?" Zeina replied

"I left it in the kitchen" Oz replied

"Why would you leave it there?" Zeina asked

"As I said before I didn't have time to bring it into the room. Were you listening to me?" oz replied

"Of course, I was listening" Zeina replied.

"Then ... never mind I got to go, sweetie. See you later" Oz replied

The call had ended and he continued working on what he was doing and she started eating her breakfast. She turned the TV on to watch her movie, and she relaxed in bed, and later dozed off during the movie. The movie ended and the food was on the bedside table and her phone was on the floor.

A few hours later, he was looking through some clothes catalog when he thought of her, he bought some for her and had them shipped to his work location to give to her. his boss had noticed what he was doing but didn't say anything, he looked more closely and waited until he was comfortable to ask.

"Oz I don't pay you to be ordering things during business hours", the boss said

"I don't know what you're talking about boss", Oz replied

"Oh really? I saw what you were doing", Boss said

"I don't know what you saw but I wasn't doing anything. I was working on the files", Oz said

"Do you want to know what I saw?", the boss asked

"Um sure I guess if it'll get you off my back", Oz replied

"I saw you were ordering clothes during company hours", the boss replied

"Just that? Please I bought it on my card. If there isn't anything else, I would like to return to my work", Oz said

"So you admit you were doing it on company time?", the boss asked

"I am not admitting to anything. If you excuse me, I'm going to continue my work", Oz replied

"Alright, fine. you can continue your work but I'm watching you", the boss replied

"I'm sure you are boss. I'm sure you are", Oz said

He felt relieved that he didn't admit anything, he continued his work and made sure his boss didn't see what was inside the bag. He picked up his phone to text her, hoping she received the message and focused on his work. Moments later, she wakes up to the movie not playing, her phone alerting her she has a message and is hungry as well.

She went to the kitchen to make a sandwich to eat, went back to the room to open her messages, and put on another movie to watch. As time went by, it was time to go home, he made sure he signed off the computer and clocked out to drive home. He arrived home to hug her and kiss her, gave her what he bought for her, and went to take a shower after a long day.

Meanwhile, she finished eating her sandwich, tried on the clothes, and continued watching her movie. She waited for him to finish taking a shower, he came out of the bathroom and she hugged him for the clothes. He changed into his night clothes, got into bed, and went to sleep minutes later. She brushed her teeth, washed her face, and joined him in bed to go to sleep.
