Han Jinyoung will be formally discharged on the 25th from his military duties after serving for 18 months in the Marine Corps. He enlisted back on May 25, 2028.

He received a plaque of recognition at a ceremony in Seoul, and was praised for serving the military with dedication and diligence. "I am very honoured and grateful for this recognition, which I accept on behalf of many other soldiers," Jinyoung said, adding, "I have learned a lot during my time here. I will keep trying my best till I complete my military service."
He plans to briefly greet fans and press after he leaves the base, and has expressed his desire to continue as a solo artist and MMCH following his discharge.

When he first enlisted back in May 2028, Jinyoung was recommended by his superiors to appear in the Armed Forces Day event on October 2029 and has hosted multiple marine events throughout his enlistment because of his exemplary behaviour and dedication to his service. In June, he was given an early promotion to sergeant status on the basis of his outstanding conduct.

The former TXT member also visited Indonesia October 2028 as a special envoy for the Defense Media Agency for Public Information to promote trade relations with the country and the image of Korea′s armed forces. Jinyoung soon became the face of the Marines, and in March 2029, a photo of the idol smiling widely and donning a pristine-white uniform was featured on Korea′s Military Manpower Administration′s official homepage.

On his return from military service, Jinyoung will be working with his agency MMCH Company.
Jinyoung is said to he excited to be able to continue promoting his solo career. MMCH Company also shared, "With the experience, he has built over the years, Jinyoung, who is currently carrying out his military service. He vowed to return to the industry more matured so that he may repay all the fans for their love. We will do our best together so that Jinyoung, who will be active not only in Korea but around the world, and his many talents may shine even more."
