(( AN: Hey! So I forgot to post this last chapter but if you're new here I always try and draw Percy's fancy looks and I did for last chapter as well but I also forgot to add the pic. So my apologies and here it is now! Have a great morning, day, or night and enjoy! -R))

————— Damian's POV: —————

Percy waited patiently, her body rocking from her heels to her toes as she watched the end of the street patiently. She'd woken up earlier than we'd all assumed she was getting up at so all her goodbye's were groggy or a bit quieter than they usually would, but as Alfred and I stood with her I couldn't help but see her own peppiness, her movements quick as every car passed by. She stopped once one got close to see who was the driver but once she recognized that the driver wasn't who she was looking for, she would settle back into her rock.

How she'd convinced Alfred to let her go with someone else to her camp was unknown to me, but apparently her friend Annabeth was already driving up to her camp and she offered to get Percy along the way.

Percy had been fidgety ever since.

Then a gray car came around the corner and Percy did the same thing she'd done for every other car, except this time she didn't continue to rock, instead her smile grew as she began waving. I realized now that the man in the front seat of the car was someone she recognized.

The car slowed to a stop in front of us and immediately as the car stopped the door opened and out came a smiling blonde girl, her bright orange shirt a contrast to her long blue jeans.

"Annie!" Percy's voice was so bright it startled me out of the quiet of the dark gotham day. She raced forward, forgetting the duffle bags beside her as she wrapped her arms around Annabeth. The girl didn't do anything besides open her arms and accept Percy into her grasp, the two twisting back and forth as they laughed.

Out the front door a taller man with blonde hair and brown eyes, his smile was warm as he watched the two hug. Eventually Percy dropped to the ground and smiled back at me, I couldn't help but smile back.

"Nice to see you're so happy." Annabeth said, stepping around Percy to grab her bags. Percy walked with her as her father walked over to Alfred.

"Hi, I'm Fredrick Chase, it's nice to meet you." Alfred smiled and shook his hand. I felt out of place just standing here so I instead walked over to help Percy and Annabeth. Percy had insisted on bringing lots of Christmas decorations so her multiple duffle bags were loaded to the brim with decorations, some were filled with things she'd gotten from kids at school and others were donated by Bruce.

I picked up one of the heavier bags and walked around the car to the trunk where Annabeth and Percy were talking happily.

"- and all the kids have been talking about how happy they are to have you here this year." Annabeth said with a smile, her smile not nearly as large as Percy's but carrying just as much love and excitement. She finished arranging the duffel bag before standing back for Percy who tossed two bags into the back. "Seriously, like non-stop. Even the kids who haven't met you yet have heard the stories, so you're gonna be swamped." To me, that sounded like a nightmare, but seeing the smile on Percy's face and hearing the chuckle from her lips, this outcome was anything but.

"They better prepare then." She said, turning around to most likely get more duffel bags but instead finding me, her face changed for a moment to surprise before fading back into her smile as she took a step back.

"Thanks Dami." I gave her a nod as I placed the bags inside the trunk, the back now entirely filled with bags and other things.

Annabeth shut the door tight, tapping her hand on the top of it for safekeeping before turning to me, her eyes running over me like Bruce once had, it was a strange feeling for a normal civilian to be doing something like that.

I'd seen her only when dropping off Percy last time, her blonde hair still shimmered like all the golden decor of the house. It was like her hair was made of golden silk.

"Annabeth, I'm not sure if you remember Damian." Percy said, moving to stand beside me.

She nodded, her smile becoming more regal. "I do, it's nice to formally meet you." She extended her hand out, I took it but didn't quite expect such a firm handshake. Most kids our age can barely manage to speak, forget actually having a good grip. Low bar I know but it's what you come to expect when you're surrounded by idiots.

"You as well." I said, "Percy has said many good things." Annabeth's more professional look dimmed for a moment as she smirked, glancing at Percy.

"As have I about you, seriously Percy never stops-"

"ANNIE!" Percy rushed from my side to cup her hands over Annabeth's face. She looked at Annabeth with wide eyes before retracting her hands quickly. "EW!! Don't lick my hands!!" Annabeth laughed, shrugging.

"We've been through too much for you to seriously be screaming about this." Although she said that her eyes glinted with mischief, this is exactly the outcome she had planned. Percy finished wiping her hands on her pants before looking at me, a slight brush of red played on her face.

"Seriously don't listen to anything she says, I mean, it's not that I don't talk but it's just not-"

This time Annabeth put her hands over Percy's mouth. "Andddd now I will save you from yourself." She smiled as Percy narrowed her eyes at her.

"Mph." Annabeth raised an eyebrow before releasing her hands.

"Happy?"

Percy grunted.

"Alright, you kids ready?" Annabeth's dad walked around the car, examining the trunk.

"Yeah, everything's put up." Annabeth said, already making her way around the corner. She turned to look at Percy, her expression hidden behind her hair but whatever she did made Percy's eyes widen as she half yelled.

"Annabeth!" Annabeth just laughed and got into the car. Percy then looked at me and gave me a smile.

"I'll see you in a week." I nodded, not saying anything as unlike usual I walked forward and placed her in a hug. She immediately relaxed into it and squeezed me for a second before letting me go.

"Have fun." She nodded and walked around the car before getting in.

I walked back off the street and onto the sidewalk beside Alfred as we watched the car wait for a second before driving off.

I felt my shoulders deflate as I watched them go.
