My mouth hangs open as we all stand in the hallway now silently.
This is too much.
I walked back to the apartment.
My breathing was heavy and I put my hands on the counter. I needed to steady myself. I don't know what just happened I hear his voice still in the hallway.
I thought consume me and I have no sense to my surroundings.
I can't breathe. This is all too much.
My thoughts get cut of when someone turns me around.
Carter.
"Gemma." He says, his voice is low and it has a sense of tiredness.
He moved his hand to my hair and touched a piece behind my ear.
"Gemma." He said again with more of a plead.
I finally looked up at him.
"I mean it." He said with a shaky smile. "That I love you."
My breath hitches.
Tears prickle my cheeks.
"How do I know you're not gonna hurt me?" I finally spoke.
He took a second before speaking.
"I just know."
"Gemma please."
"How." I state flatly.
He moves closer. I moved back but my legs moved back and hit the island. There was no escaping this. I had to face it.
I grabbed my hand and put it on his chest. Suddenly I was pushed up against him and my hand was over his heart, but I made no attempt to leave.
"When you're around my heartbeat is faster than I can even breathe. I feel suffocated without you."
"I think it likes you." He says as I let out a breath I didn't know I kept in.
I feel my eyes drifting to his.
"I don't know Carter." I say finally feeling myself get more confident.
He moves closer.
"Please." He says moving his other hand to my jaw.
I need to-
He kisses me.
Surprisingly I didn't pull back.
I knew deep down I wanted this. He is my person.
I just can't get hurt.
This kiss wasn't too heated, it was passionate and caring.
He pushed me closer to him.
"What do you say?" He says. I lean onto ' his hand on my jaw.
I take a deep breath.
"I love you Carter."

OK I know this one is really short
But I low-key hate it and I'm definitely gonna be writing it in the near future so just keep a lookout for that
I will be starting, new story tonight so look for the characters that were in that story. Let me know if I should do this series or if I should start a new one.
