Shoto was convinced to rest in the Butterfly Estate after the whole incident, but only after insisting his friends should join. He thought it wasn't an issue at first since he saw Zenitsu, Inosuke, and Okemia be taken in by Kakushi, so he assumed they would get Tanjiro and Nezuko too.

But that wasn't the case at all.

"I should've known this would've happened," Shoto thought. "Now that I remember, they said something about arresting them. Why did I think this would all be okay? I should've been paying attention and stuck up for them with Giyu, maybe then the two won't be threatened."

He soon arrived at the main headquarters, retracing his steps when he was invited to the Hashira gathering. He saw two Kakushi guarding the entrance, probably making sure no one interrupted. Shoto ran up to them, hoping he would be able to pass through them without much trouble.

"Woah their kid, sorry but this area is off-limits," one of the Kakushi said.

"I'm Rengoku's Tsuguko, I need to get to him," Shoto told him. "This is an important matter, so don't get in my way."

"If it was something really important we would've been informed-" the other Kakushi said, taking their attention off Shoto for a split second. He used that split second to break into a sprint, catching the two off guard.

"Shit... we let him through..."

Shoto ran through the large estate, trying to remember where the meeting area was. He knew he got close when he heard Sanemi's voice.

"What the hell do you think you're trying to pull?"

As he ran over, he saw a Kakushi ahead of him with a worried expression on their face. He figured out that they were the ones assigned to watch Nezuko's box when they ran up to Sanemi, who was holding it.

"Please Master Shinazugawa!" The Kakushi called out. "I must ask you to put down that box."

It was all silence for Shoto till he got to the garden, where he arrived in time to see Shinobu warn him.

"Shinazugawa, please don't act out of line," Shinobu warned.

"Run that by me again kid?" Shinazugawa asked. "She can fight as a Demon Slayer to protect humans is that it? You know what we call that?"

Shoto saw Sanemi move his free hand toward his sword, it was at that moment he knew he had to intervene. Before Sanemi could take it out of its sheath, he felt a hand grip his right shoulder.

"Huh? And who are you to-"

"Drop the box or I'll burn you to ashes Shinazugawa."

All the Hashira could see the facial expression Shoto had, even the ones familiar with him hadn't seen this expression yet. It was so contorted with rage and disgust, but it felt like something bigger, something that even the Hashira were getting slightly intimidated.

"You think you'd be able to do that before I slice you in half?" Sanemi asked.

"You saw what I could do without swords about 6 or 7 months ago?" Shoto mentioned. "In that time, I learned how to use a sword and Breathing Techniques, became a Demon Slayer, and Rengoku's Tsuguko. Do you think at that time I only focused on swords? My quirk is something you can't fight easily, I would wager it's on the same level as an Uppermoon's Blood Demon Art. Now put the box down, or else you'll experience the same treatment I gave to the Hero Killer Stain when I saw him about to murder my best friend."

Sanemi was never intimidated by anyone, especially Demon Slayers in the lower ranks. But for some reason, that threat felt more real and terrifying than any other threat he'd heard. It did make him stand down, but he still kept the grip he had on the box.
