Back with the remembrance.
"Androsia was also part of that group, what was it called again? Ah, yes, the Angeli Vindictae," the remembrance reminisced, deep in thought. I remained silent, hoping she would pose her next question. After a moment of contemplation, she spoke up, "I reacted strongly to what you told me earlier. I thought you became incredibly angry, but now I understand." I replied, "Indeed, in the heat of the moment, I didn't give it much thought. However, Androsia's actions only further intensified my emotions." She nodded in understanding and then inquired, "There's one thing I don't quite grasp. You mentioned the chaos gods. Isn't it forbidden for you to openly discuss them?" With a chuckle, I responded, "I believe that the truth should be revealed, regardless of the risks it may entail."

"But aren't you placing yourself in immense peril? I can't help but think of the Inquisition," she exclaimed with a touch of anxiety. I couldn't help but smile at her and replied, "Ah, so it seems you still have some concern for me." She seemed a bit taken aback but quickly retorted, "I simply find it intriguing when people willingly expose themselves to unnecessary danger!" I burst into laughter and rose from my seat dramatically, as if preparing to leave, while uttering, "Well then, it appears our conversation has come to an end, as it puts both you and me in harm's way." I mimicked a motion towards the door, pretending to make my exit. She hurriedly got up from her chair and exclaimed, "No, don't go! That's not what I meant." I laughed heartily and sat back down, asking her if she still wanted me to continue my story despite the risks involved. She eagerly nodded her head in response to my question.

"A new era of learning and practice commenced, unlike any other experience I had encountered in my tenure with the 2nd legion. Days were spent in relentless training, honing my skills in close-quarters combat alongside Josef. Simultaneously, I diligently worked on fortifying my mind against psychic influence and interference with Androsia, while delving into the enigmatic world of the warp under Gabriel's tutelage," I said with a motionless voice. "But now, it's time for another skip in the timeline of my history. The time on board the Angelic Grace continued to follow the same pattern day after day. So I resume the story at the time of the next important event. I continued to tell her..."

Chapter 19.
As my eyes fluttered open, I surveyed the familiar confines of my cell, which had somehow transformed into my own sanctuary on board the Angelic Grace. Reflecting on the days that had slipped away since joining the Angeli vindictae and assuming my new position in the Legion, I took a moment to reminisce. The strain in my muscles served as a painful reminder of the rigorous training session with Josef. While our skill gap had narrowed through countless duels, I couldn't deny the fact that Josef still surpassed me. The weight of my own arrogance and the illusion of equality with him weighed heavily on my conscience.

As I delved into my thoughts, a gruff voice shattered my concentration. It was Gabriel, beckoning me to wake up and face the consequences of my actions once again. I turned my gaze towards him, watching as he approached and positioned himself on the other side of the energy barrier that confined me within my cell. Determined to comply, I rose to my feet and prepared to accompany him. When I was ready, I approached the barrier and patiently awaited its closure, granting me permission to exit my confined space. Within moments, the barrier sealed shut, allowing me to step out and join Gabriel. This time, his expression held a hint of understanding, a stark contrast to the cold reception I had received weeks ago when our arduous journey of penance began.

I joined Gabriel just as he began his stroll. We proceeded in silence, which didn't faze me since I knew Gabriel was typically reserved, except when he had a collection of vulgarities or affronts to unleash. We arrived at his residence, but to my astonishment, we carried on walking. I was tempted to inquire about our destination, but I had come to understand that he wouldn't respond to such queries. Thus, I chose to persist in trailing him, intrigued to discover our final destination.
