A few days have passed since that incident.
Mishika was on alert mode but nothing suspicious happened around her after that day . Maybe they were some random goons she thought.

Although one thing has changed and that is Abhimanyu's behaviour.
He has been paying  visits to their office more often and she had caught him stealing glance at her every now and then but he didn't approach her directly or strike a conversation with her .

She kept herself busy with her work not paying much attention to him .

Today was no different. He was sitting in Sameer 's cabin from the past one hour doing God knows what ...she thought shaking her head.

Shr looked up when someone knocked on her cubicle and she looked up to find him .
Jiii....she raised her eyebrow in question and he sat on the chair in front of her desk .

I want to discuss something important with you ...he said making her node and she waited for him to continue.
Not here. I will pick you up after the office hours....he said and she frowned .

And why can't we discuss it here ....she asked narrowing her eyes at him.
It's your work place and I don't want to discuss our matter here...he said .

And I don't remember any "our" matter to be discussed....she said by pressing the word "our" making him sigh .
I will see you in the evening then .....he said getting up making her gasp as he literally ignored her question and before she could say something else he was already gone .

Mishika huffed at his audacity. How could he just pass  order to her like that .
He is not her boss ..she thought but nonetheless she had to meet him now .

It was a tiring day for Mishika and all she wanted to do now was to go home and sleep cuddling with her soft pillow.
She totally forget about her meeting with Abhimanyu but he was right in front of the office as she stepped out .

He opened the car door signalling her to get in and she obliged.
They were sipping their coffee sitting in a cafe and she looked at him to start the discussion that he wanted to do .

Look Mishika whatever I am going to tell you , don't react impulsively before listening to the entire thing ....he said looking at her keenly.
Please don't creat much suspense now . Just say it ....she said straightening herself.

Ummm....I think we should get married!!! He said expecting a loud reaction from her but here she started laughing like he just cracked the most funniest joke of the decade.

I am serious!!! He said glaring at her making her look at him with wide eyes as saucers.
No you can't be !!! She said as if it's the most obvious fact .

It will be good for both our families and your safety too ....he stated.
I can't marry you just because my Daadi and Revati Aunty wants it to happen and I can take care of myself, so please I don't need you to protect me ...
She replied taking a sip of her coffee.

Mishika you are not understanding the gravity of the situation. I know you are self sufficient but here the situation is completely different....he said confusing her .

Robin is back and I think he is planning some sort of revenge or something from you .....he told her taking her by shock and surprise .

Ohhh so I was right that day . It was him only behind that incident....she spoke more to self.
What incident. Did something happened with you ...he asked her getting more serious all of a sudden.

Mishika.....he called her name when she looked away not answering to his question but then she told him everything about the goons who tried to kidnap her .

What!!!! And you didn't informed me about it . Have you lost all your brain . You could have been in a very dangerous situation. How can you be so casual about it ....he asked gritting his teeth .

But nothing happened after that ...she said in a low tone fearing his anger .
That's because I was keeping an eye on you after knowing about Robin ,you idiot.....he said suppressing his anger .

I will be extra careful but that doesn't mean I will marry you . Marriage is not a joke but a lifetime commitment . It's not something that should be done out of sympathy or guilt ....she said making him close his eyes .

I am not doing it because of some sympathy or guilt . I know what I am doing and marriage is a sacred thing for me too ...he said looking into her eyes .

Will you ever be able to give me the love and rights that should be given to a wife ....she asked without breaking their eye contact .

He didn't have any answer for that question and he looked away making her let out a humour less chuckle.
I knew it and that's why I said No . I don't want to be an unwanted person in anyone's life .

Thanks for your concern....she said getting up from her place .
Mishika was hurt yet again and she wipped her tear turning away from him and looking out of the car window.
Their was this deafning silence in the car .

Abhimanyu was lost in his own thoughts.
Will he ever able to love again and give that place to someone else . For now it seems impossible but life has to go on . The chapter of Shreya has already ended but he was not ready to invest his emotions yet again .

He knew Mishika is a gem of a person and she deserves better but the situation in hand demands her to be protected. Robin can prove to be fatel .
Pooja was somehow saved but he didn't want to take a chance with Mishika.

He stopped the car in front of her house .
He held her hand before she could get down . She didn't turned towards him but didn't tried to free her hand too .

I want to give "us" a chance .....he said in a soft tone making her turn to him .
Yes Mishika. As of now I can't give you all of that but in future we can lead a life like a normal couple....he said gazing into her eyes .

She just sat there without uttering a word and he continued after realising a sigh .
This is the best solution I can come up with in present circumstances. Don't think that I am proposing this marriage just because of Robin , there are other factors too...he explained.

I don't want your answer right at the moment. Just think over it and you can tell me your decision this Sunday...he advised making her node .
