Next day, the entire family gathered for breakfast, but the usual lively atmosphere was replaced by an awkward silence. Teju and Karan avoided direct eye contact, and the air felt heavy with unexpressed feelings.

Sreetu, sensing the need to break the ice, proposed a weekend plan.

Sreetu: Teju, bhai, kya iss weekend hum clubbing chale?

Omi: Nice idea, Seenu. 😍 Karan, tum kya bolte ho?

Karan glanced at Teju, and Teju, playing with her food, stole glances at him. The tension was palpable as they awaited Karan's response.

Karan: Sure... Nice idea... Chalte hain... Let's enjoy this weekend.

Sreetu and Omi were delighted 🤩🤩

Omi: Teju... Tum?

Teju: I am sorry... But I am not coming... You guys enjoy.

Sreetu: No yaar... Chalo na humare saath... Please.

Omi: Come on, Teju... Pure hafte kaam hi toh kar rahi ho... Ek din enjoy karo na.

Teju: Omi bhai, next week tight schedule hai... And I have to complete this work by today... Please understand... I'll join you next time.

Karan, irritated by Teju's refusal, couldn't hold back.

Karan: Chod na, Omi... Agar koi nahi aara hai toh hume kya... Hum maze karenge.

Teju felt a pang of hurt from Karan's words, her expressions changing immediately. Kd noticed the tension in the room.

Sreetu : Okay, hum chalenge... Main humare gang ko bulati hoon.

Omi and Teju exchanged surprised glances.

Teju, visibly affected by Karan's words, left her breakfast untouched and took her plate to the kitchen. Km, Kd, and Sreetu exchanged sad looks, sensing the growing rift between Karan and Teju.

Karan, smirking at Teju's retreating figure. The family continued their breakfast in strained silence, unsure of what the future held for them.
