Aegon lay in bed, his gaze fixed on the intricate patterns of the ceiling above him. His unkempt hair fell in front of his eyes, which were surrounded by dark circles from lack of sleep. He remained motionless, not bothering to blink or even leave his chambers.

Days passed, but Aegon showed no signs of improvement. He refused to drink anything but wine, to sleep, or to even get up from his bed. His mind seemed consumed by something, his thoughts locked in a never-ending loop. he was a mere shell of his former self.

Like an unyielding echo, the song persisted, its haunting notes etching themselves into the recesses of his mind. There was no escape from its grip, no moment of solace within his own thoughts. The faces of the serving girls, their features blending with Ryis's, served as a constant reminder of the one who he could not tare his mind from. They tirelessly poured wine into his cups, which now overflowed and formed a towering heap in the corner, mirroring the overwhelming weight of his emotions.

Suddenly, a bone-chilling screech pierced through the air, capturing his attention in an instant the song in his head stopped. It was a sound that sent shivers down his spine, yet he couldn't resist its mysterious allure. Curiosity consumed him, urging him to investigate further. With a sense of urgency, he swiftly turned his head towards the source of the sound, only to be greeted by a breath-taking view of the vast sea stretching out before him.

Glancing out the window, he was met with the sight of his own reflection staring back at him. The expression on his face was a mix of surprise and disappointment, as if he had expected to see something else entirely. The glass seemed to mock him, showing him a version of himself that he didn't want to acknowledge.

His eyes lingered on the reflection, taking in every detail of the person staring back at him. The lines on his face, the tiredness in his eyes, the way his hair fell unkempt around his face - it was all too familiar yet somehow foreign. He couldn't help but feel a pang of sadness at the sight, wondering how he had let himself become this person he barely recognized.

The eerie melody persisted, but this time with a haunting twist. It felt as though she had materialized outside his window, submerged in the depths of the sea, desperately beckoning for his aid. As he gazed intently at his own reflection, a chill ran down his spine. There she was, lurking behind him, every feature meticulously depicted with unsettling precision.

Her ghostly presence seemed to transcend the barriers between his reality and fiction, her eyes filled with an otherworldly longing. The room grew colder as he struggled to comprehend the surreal sight before him. Was she a figment of his imagination, a manifestation of his deepest fears, or something far more sinister? The air was thick with unease, suffocating him with its oppressive weight.

With trembling hands, he reached out to touch the glass, half-expecting her icy fingers to meet his own. The song swirled around him, a cacophony of sorrow and despair. As he turned away from the reflection, he couldn't shake the feeling that she was still there, watching, waiting. The line between reality and nightmare blurred, leaving him trapped in a waking dream from which there seemed to be no escape.

The moment his calloused fingertips grazed the smooth surface of the glass, she inexplicably vanished into the abyss. The room was engulfed in an unsettling stillness, broken only by the haunting sound of his own breaths, heavy with fear and confusion. It was as if the very essence of her existence had been swallowed by the darkness, leaving behind an eerie void that sent shivers down his spine.

The eerie stillness hung in the air, suffocating the room with its oppressive weight. Time seemed to freeze, as if the world itself held its breath, waiting for the inevitable. Suddenly, a haunting melody pierced through the silence, resonating from the depths of the sea. Its mournful notes echoed through the night, sending shivers down his spine. With a sense of dread, he turned his gaze towards the window once again, only to witness a chilling sight.

The moonlight cast an ethereal glow upon the deserted beach, illuminating the dark secrets hidden within its depths. As the haunting song grew louder, its enchanting melody filled the night, luring unsuspecting souls towards its treacherous embrace. His heart pounded in his chest as he caught a glimpse of her, laying on the shore in her siren form. Her beauty was undeniable, but it was tainted by an undeniable sense of danger. Against her will, she was being dragged into the unforgiving ocean, her cries for help swallowed by the crashing waves.

With a jolt, he sprang out of his bed, his drunken stupor causing him to stumble and falter repeatedly. Frantically dashing through the labyrinthine corridors of the ancient castle, he was pursued by his loyal guards, their footsteps echoing ominously. The other lords and servants, their faces contorted with bewilderment, watched in both horror and fascination as their master careened past them, leaving a trail of chaos and confusion in his wake.

Like a tormented soul possessed by a malevolent force, he charged towards the beach, forcefully pushing away his bewildered guards. His anguished sobs and blood-curdling screams pierced the night, carrying his desperate plea for Ryis's presence. Driven by an insatiable grief, he stumbled towards the unforgiving sea, his steps unsteady and uncontrolled. The haunting cries of his loyal protectors faded into the distance as they futilely called after him, their voices drowned by the relentless roar of the waves. The ocean, a sinister abyss, eagerly awaited his arrival, ready to consume him in its dark embrace.

"Your grace!" echoed the chilling cries of his royal guards, their voices filled with urgency and desperation. With a strength fuelled by fear, they mercilessly yanked him out of the treacherous sea, his body writhing like a helpless fish ensnared on a hook. The waves crashed against the shore, their relentless roar a haunting symphony that mirrored the turmoil within his soul.

"No!" His anguished scream pierced the air, a desperate plea that reverberated through the darkness. His voice trembled with raw emotion, mingling with the haunting sobs that escaped his quivering lips. The weight of his heartache bore down upon him, threatening to consume him entirely. "She needs me," he wailed, his words a haunting mantra that echoed through the desolate night, a testament to his unwavering determination to "save her".

Overwhelmed by a maelstrom of emotions, he clung to the fading hope that flickered within his shattered spirit. The world around him seemed to blur, the boundaries between reality and nightmare merging into a terrifying tapestry of despair. With each agonizing repetition, his cries grew louder, as if trying to pierce through the veil of darkness that threatened to engulf him. For in his heart, he knew that he was her only salvation, and he would stop at nothing to rescue her from the clutches of impending doom.

"she's out there! she needs me!" he screamed his voice turning into sobs.
