"You look awfully cheery today, (y/n). Got any good news?"

You smiled at your coworker,
"I just got an assignment abroad!"

Kuroo raised a brow,
"Abroad? Where to?"

You chuckled,
"Well maybe not exactly abroad, but I am getting to travel! They're sending me off tho Hyogo next week"

"Lucky! Bring me back a souvenir, alright?"
He said while patting your shoulder.

"Actually, I was thinking you'd come with me? We both know you deserve a break,"

"Sounds fun, I'll go. Let me go fill out a PTO request form really quickly,"

You shook your head,
"You wont need to do that,"

Hearing that, Kuroo raised a brow.
"As much as I want to go with you, I'm not really ready to risk my job to go on vacation,"

You rolled your eyes,
"I'm not telling you to ditch, I'm saying that they'll consider you as still being on the job while you're there with me,"

You watched as his posture relaxed, a toothy grin forming on his face,
"Really now? When are we going?"

As you heard a key turning in your door, you could guess who exactly was trying to enter your home.

"Hey Hinata, how was your practice?"
You asked from your chair, not even bothering to check if you'd guessed correctly.

"It was good! I'm gonna take a shower, can I borrow your clothes?"
He asked while locking the door behind him.

"Sure, just make sure not to stick your knees in my sweaters, I don't want them to stretch out all weird,"

He nodded silently before heading into your room to grab some clean clothes.

At this point it was a little concerning how much you were used to Hinata crashing at your place, especially considering how many other places he could've been staying. But still, it was kind of nice. The apartment could get lonely sometimes, and it was nice having someone with his personality around.

After some time, you checked your phone for the time, and approached your door. The pizza you had ordered should be arriving soon.

You stood at the door for a while, peering through the peephole until someone holding your meal arrived.

The delivery man only got to knock one time before you flung the door open.
"Uh..."
You decided to ignore him judging you, and pulled some cash out of your wallet,
"Here's the money... and here's your tip,"

He quickly thanked you before handing you the pizza and leaving.

The delectable aroma of your pizza was so enticing that you were practically drooling, eager to consume.

Your pizza's smell didn't only attract you though, as your neighbor soon popped his head out of his door, curious as to what smelled so good.

Upon making eye contact with you, he jolted in shock, quickly retreating back behind his door.

"I saw you, Sugawara! You can have a slice if you want, don't be shy!"

After a moment's hesitation, the gray haired teacher meekly left his apartment, still embarrassed about being caught peeping on his neighbor's food.

You tried to comfort him,
"There's no need to be embarrassed, I totally would've done the same thing!"

"Really?"
He asked hopefully.

"Actually I probably wouldn't, but still, it's fine!"

His face showed slight annoyance at your failure to make him feel better, but at least it got him out of it.

As he sat at your dining table, you realized you almost forgot to inform him about your other guest,
"Oh yeah, Hinata's-"

"Woah, you're eating with us too, Sugawara-senpai? Oh! Is that pizza?!"
Hinata cheerily took a seat next to you before grabbing a slice for himself, and Sugawara couldn't help but notice a few things.

First of all, Hinata seemed freshly showered and his clothes...

"Hinata, where'd you get that shirt?"
Sugawara asked.

"(Y/n)'s room,"
He responded, taking another bite of his pizza.
Sugawara squinted slightly as he took a bite out of his second slice, the gears in his mind turning.

"Don't eat so fast, Hinata, you'll get my shirt dirty!"
You help a napkin underneath the orange-haired man's chin, trying to stop any pizza related debris from colliding from your shirt.

Sugawara couldn't help but ask,
"Are you two a couple?"

You and Hinata both looked at him in shock before locking eyes with each other.

You both shook your heads,
"No no no, Hinata's just a friend!"
"We totally aren't, (y/n)'s not my type!"

One of those two excuses was a lie.

After a moment, Sugawara processed your statements, and a look of shock found its way onto his face as well.
"I asked that out loud, didn't I?"

He didn't need to wait for a reply before he started to profusely apologize, with both you and Hinata telling him it was fine.

It seemed your words weren't getting through to him, so you had to rely on some drastic measures.

Hooking a finger underneath the teacher's chin, you tilted his head up towards you, staring into his eyes.
"Sugawara, it's fine,"

Both Karasuno alumni felt something shift within themselves. What the hell was that? And when would Hinata get a turn?!

You sat back in your chair,
"Okay, I'm over this now, let's change the subject. I'm going to Hyogo next week, you two want a souvenir?"

They both nodded their heads.

A lightbulb went off in Hinata's head.
"Hyogo? Atsumu's from there! I can ask him to tell you about all the best spots there!"

"Really? That'd be great, thanks!"
You replied.

Another hour or so went by, with the two former Karasuno students telling you about stories from their younger days, all of you having a great time.

Eventually Sugawara returned to his apartment, and you decided to turn in for the night.

As Hinata laid down on the pullout couch with the fluffy blanket you'd provided him, he couldn't help but wonder.

How comfy was your bed?

Maybe one day he'd know.
