THE LAST DAY

MYSTIC GRILL

Scarlett walks into the Grill seeing Damon Salvatore and Alaric Saltzman at the bar, she smirks approaching them

Scarlett: Gentleman? Why so glum?

They turn and looks at her

Damon: Scarlett, I presume? I didn't expect you to be this hot.

Scarlett: You are so not my type but if you wanna cross rods then......

She clicks her tongue and smirks

Scarlett: Oh who am I kidding? I'm probably ten times bigger then you.

She looks at Alaric.

Scarlett: Thanks for the loaner, mate.

Damon stands up angrily.

Damon: Any reason you stopped by to say hi?

Scarlett: I'm told your brother is obsessed with my Doppelganger. Just thought I'd remind you to not do anything you'll regret.

Damon: Ha. Thanks for the advice. I don't suppose I could talk you into a postponement, by any chance, huh?

Scarlett: You are kidding?

She looks at Alaric.

Scarlett: He is kidding, right?

Alaric: No, not really.

Damon: I mean, come on, what's one month in the whole grand scheme of things?

Scarlett: Let me be clear...I have my vampire. I have my werewolf. I have everything I need. The ritual will happen tonight. So if you want to live to see tomorrow, don't screw it up.

SALVATORE HOUSE-NIGHT

Elena is standing outside the house pacing nervously back and forth biting her nails when she senses someone behind her, she turns around seeing Scarlett behind her

Elena: Scarlett?

Scarlett: Are you ready, Love?

Elena sighs out nervously, hands shaking. Scarlett sighs taking her face in her hands rubbing circles on her cheeks

Scarlett: Don't worry

Elena: Why shouldn't I worry? I'm gonna die

Scarlett: Fate has a way of working things out, Love.

Elena: What's that mean?

Scarlett: You'll find out before the night is over

She presses her lips to her forehead and leans their heads together before grabbing her in her arm and vamp speeds away.

QUARRY

Elena and Greta are walking in the dark through the forest.

Elena: Where are we going?

Greta: This way.

Elena: You're Luka's sister, aren't you? I heard about you. He and your father were looking for you.

Greta: Well, they were wasting their time. I wasn't lost.

Elena trips on a rock.

Elena: God, I can't see anything.

Greta lights fires all around them. Elena sees someone lying on the ground. She sees that's it's John Gilbert

Elena: John? Oh my God! John! John!

She looks at Greta

Elena: She killed him. I did everything I was asked.

John wakes up and looks around the quarry

Greta: He's not dead. He's in transition.
