DAKARI KAISER
SEPTEMBER 2nd, 2023.
SATURDAY 4:13 pm

DAKARI EYED HIMSELF  the mirror, feeling himself so much in the moment.

He had just got a new line up, and a retwist with two strand twists and nobody couldn't tell him anything.

He had been standing in the mirror for approximately seven minutes just analyzing himself.

It was like once he got a haircut and a retwist, all of a sudden, his skin was clear and glowing, and he looked even more attractive.

"Im so sexy, what da fuck." He spoke in astonishment, in all his glory.

"You know you is bae, sexy ass." Harlem giggled sitting on facetime with him while he had his phone propped up on the bathroom counter. "So when you gonna come and get me?" She rested her chin on her palm.

"uhmmm..." he trailed glancing at the time but was interrupted when another incoming call started coming through the phone. "Hold on this my OG, gimme a second." He picked his phone up.

"okay." She stated and he hung up with her, answering Tyronda's call.

"Wassup, dukes?" He questioned with a yawn, stretching his arms over his head.

"Hey baby, watchu doin right now? You busy?" She questioned him hoping he wasn't busy at the moment.

"Uh, nothing really. I was finna go pick up Harlem. You straight?" He replied, ducking his head underneath the door frame to walk out the bathroom as his dreads swung in his face.

"Oh great, my job is on the way. I was wondering if you could go in the fridge and grab my lunch box and bring it to me before my lunch break. I must've been rushing and forgot it." She explained.

"Oh yeah, you know I gotchu dukes. You want me to drop it off on your floor like last time?" He asked her, rubbing his hand down the side of his face heading for the kitchen.

"Yes, if that's okay with you." She sighed in relief.

"Alright, I'm finna be on my way. Give me ten minutes." He told her Pulling the refrigerator open and getting the pink and black ice box type lunch box.

"Ten?! Dakari that is a twenty-minute drive. Do not be speeding on them roads you hear me? It's raining. The road is wet. I'm not playing." She warned him seriously.

It was hurricane season, and it had been raining almost every day for the last two weeks. Oddly, this was Dakari's favorite time of the year since he loved the rain.

"I hear you ma, no speeding." He said, and they said their goodbyes before he hung up.

He went into his call log, calling Harlem back instead of facetiming her, and she answered on the second ring. "Why you didn't face time me?" She inquired.
