HONESTY SADÉ POWELL
SEPTEMBER 10th, 2023.
SUNDAY 9:32 am

HONESTYS EYES FLUTTERED, still surrounded in the darkness of dakaris room as she woke up.

The first thing she realized was that her head was pounding like no other time before. She felt like she was about to die from the unbearable pain.

"Owww." She dragged, whining in the process. Thank goodness it wasn't bright in his room due to his black out curtains, but her head was still killing her.

She sat up, noticing she wasn't in her jumpsuit anymore and it kind of alarmed her since she didn't remember anything from the night before.

She barely even remembered coming to pick up Nala, the whole thing was a blur and it was confusing her. She didn't even drink, and she knew she was the driver so she didn't understand why she was in the state she was in.

She looked around and her breath hitched realizing she was in dakaris room. Much of it hadn't changed from when she was a young teenage girl which was how she was able to pinpoint so quickly.

She huffed feeling utterly embarrassed, standing to her feet. She gulped walking towards his door and pulled it open, blinking rapidly.

She walked from the back going towards the front, and she could instantly hear chatter.

It halted once honesty came around the corner wearing one of dakaris shirts and his sweatpants. "Hi." She muttered lowly, dropping her head.

Nala smiled at her softly. She felt responsible, even though she didn't know what happened, it was her job to make sure honesty was alright.

"Wassup? Here you go." Dakari spoke and she looked up seeing the was holding a cup of water and a pack of Alka-Seltzer he had gotten from the store early this morning.

He didn't sleep all night, as hard as he tried. So once it was six in the morning he got up to go get her one, plus extra strength Tylenol.

"Thank you." She smiled softly pulling a chair out at the table. "Did-did I drink last night?" She asked. She didn't drink, she hated alcohol, mostly because her mother was an abusive drunk.

"What do you remember honesty?" Nala asked and honesty's heart instantly dropped thinking that meant she made a fool of herself some how, in some way.

"Not much really. I remember picking you and harlem up, but the rest is a blur. My head really hurts though." She sighed, dropping the fizzing tablet in her cup of water.
