"WELL, THIS turned out to be a weird field trip." Sugino mumbled as the group came walking out of a memorial store.

"Mhm," kanzaki smiled as angelic as ever, nodding. "We're the only class in history going to Kyoto to kill our octopus teacher, aren't we?"

"Bet five bucks on that." Mina added, being the one to walk more in the front along her red-headed classmate.
"Hey, uh, does anyone know where we're going? This seems pretty, creepy?" The girl asked into the group as they walked into a lonely alley, just outside the city centre.

"Aww, are you scared, princess? Don't worry, I will protect us from any scary alley ghosts." karma winked, making the girl roll her eyes.

"You know, you were so quiet from when we arrived that I hoped you were dead secretly. In trance, maybe. Or hallucinating!" She listed jokingly as nagisa, who was previously talking to kaede, answered her previous question, making her smile at him kindly.

"Well, since karasuma-sensei asked us to find good spots for a sniper assassination, sugino and I thought an alley would be a good option. Do you guys think he could see from up there?" Nagisa pointed to a rooftop a at the very end of the alley, making the group follow his hand as they got interrupted by a group of young men.

There were circa 10 of them, and they all stood opposite of the friends as one of them, seeming to be their leader, stepped out. They all wore some kind of black uniform, and they had weird expressions on their faces. Delinquents, maybe. But mina could have sworn to know them from somewhere, she just couldn't put her finger on it. Not yet anyway.

"Gentlemen! Though, I don't think you guys look very touristy now, do you? What do you think, princess?" The red-headed boy smirked as usual as he put his hands inside his pockets, seemingly intrigued. Mina only raised her eyebrows at them, but she didn't seem too found of them either. They didn't seem particularly nice.

"Don't try to play the hero, carrot-head. Just hand your female friends over there over and we will leave you alone, alright?" The 'leader' stated loudly, making all of them (except for one, obviously) understand the gravity of Their situation.

"And why should we do that? You see, sugino, just as I told you. When there's no one around and you have no evidence, you can go nuts."

From that point on, everything broke into chaos. The assassin students tried to defend themselve against the ten or more, clearly on brawn focused, boys. Especially after karma had provoked them into being that angry, he was the one hating himself the most as they lost the fight ultimately.

Somewhere in all that chaos, mina had told okuda to hide herself before keeping another guy from punching her.
And somewhere in all that chaos, mina, along with kaede and kanzaki, got taken away.
The girls fought back, of course, but as much as mina kicked and punched her kidnappers, she couldn't defeat the fact that there would always be a second one behind the one she just punched, and that that one would be even harder to bring down.
Ultimately, the three girls were thrown in the very back of a cold, white, van. And taken somewhere they didn't even know the directions of.

The most cruel, the most dumb part of all of this was that Karma didn't even notice it. He looked away for a second, maybe less. He punched another one of them in their stupid face before looking around, only to remark a missing brunette. He was too late.

Nagisa cursed under his breath as the delinquents left them alone. Karma in the front was half-laying on the ground, keeping himself up with only one arm. He was covered in dirt, a little blood and salvia maybe. Sugino and nagisa weren't doing any better.
As they looked up, the van was already long gone. And with it, their three friends. Driving to who-knows-where.

Okuda slowly came out of her hiding spot as she noticed the voices quieting down, she walked towards the group, keeping her head down.

"Okuda!" Nagisa exhaled happily as he noticed at least one of his female classmates still being here.

"I-I'm sorry, mina told me to hide somewhere and I just did! I s-should've helped.." the girl managed to get out slowly, still looking at the ground as karma pushed himself off exactly that ground, wiping his clothes with anger in his eyes. The lust for revenge, maybe.

"Don't apologise. You did the right thing." Karma told the shivering girl, looking to the spot the van drived from.
Deep inside him, there was only one question he would have asked okuda if he could have in that very moment. He knew he shouldn't be thinking this, and yet his mind didn't occur to leave hin alone.
That exact question still lingered with him years after the incident.
Why didn't you take her along?

As the three girls were inside the van, after one of the delinquents had finished tying them up, making them loose all their willpower to kick and fight back anymore, the car slowly drove on the rocky hillbilly streets of southern Kyoto.

Everyone was silent, not one of them dared to speak because of the shock in their situation. Kaede was tearing up, Kanzaki stared at the dirty van floor. Mina was the first one to speak, her voice was quiet, mumbly, a little shaky, but there.

"Alright, guys, listen. We, We will be fine, okay?" She exhaled slowly, calming herself down as her gentle eyes met the ones of her friends. "I will protect you, I promise I will. They won't do anything to you."

Kaede leaned her back against the wall, sighing a she ultimately decided to rest her head on her brown haired friend's shoulder, making kanzai shoot them a small smile.

"Do you think they will try to hurt us?" Kanzaki asked after another few minutes of silence.

"I don't know, kanzaki. What matters the most is that we don't freak out. Also, try to remember everything you see, alright? Street names, faces, anything. We will need that later on." She explained to them, careful not to move too much as the girl's head on her.

"I got everything under control." Mina added lastly, her voice being determined and strong-willed now. She wouldn't let these assholes hurt her friends, or her, if that was arrangeable too.
Or maybe she tried to convince herself of that.

"Oh, well, doll, I don't think that's possible, sadly. What a shame!"
Doll.
The friends looked up only to see the the van door opened, and the 'leader' from earlier standing Infront of them, sounding rather ironic, bitter.

"Don't call me that." Mina's hateful stare caught his eyes, the mere look of someone who would kidnap three school girls was disgusting. The girl's usual warm expression changed into one of anger. This wasn't like any other nickname, not like any one she received from lady youko or the red-head. This was a pure game of women's pride.

The guy's stare coldend, the girls could hear a quiet 'brat' under his breath before her started smiling crazily, waving his hands.
"Don't worry, we will have plenty of time for fights. Men, get them inside!"
