Look, for nine months, everybody tried to get John B and Emilia to believe that their dad was dead.

They said they were in denial.

Whatever.

Denial's underrated! You should really try it sometime. It's highly effective, and it's only denial if you're wrong.

But all of this doesn't make any sense.

Their dad was the last guy who would ever get lost at sea.

This compass going back to them? Their father's compass? Which was passed down for generations?

It's a sign.

Their dad is still alive, and they're gonna find him.

Melia pulls up beside the Cameron's boat at the docks, tying the HMS at the other side of them.

She hops out of the boat, picking up the heavy scuba gear and quietly trudging onto the Cameron's yacht.

She slowly slides opens the door.

She clocks in the corner of her eye, Sarah Cameron laying on the couch, asleep.

Well this is fantastic.

She sighs and carries on in her path, tip-toeing inside.

"Wheezie, shut up." Sarah groans, rubbing her eyes.

Melia bites her lip and clamps her eyes shut as she carries on tip-toeing further through the boat. But the metal of one the tanks knocks loudly against the counter.

She sucks a breath in through her teeth.

Sarah sits up with gasp, looking over at her. "God." She groans, quickly pulling her shirt down to cover her bra. "You're not Wheezie.." She mumbles.

Emilia sighs, "Correct, yeah."

Sarah sighs, calming down from the fright she just had.

"Sorry." Melia mumbles, placing the gear down.

"What are you doing?" Sarah asks, looking at her funnily.

"Uh, I'm just dropping off some scuba gear." She says, avoiding eye contact with the blonde girl in-front of her.

"What- what are you doing here..?" Melia asks, sounding slightly annoyed.

"It's our boat?" Sarah says, rolling her eyes and sitting up fully. "It's also the only place with air conditioning." She adds.

Melia scoffs quietly to herself and shakes her head, "Right.".

"Did you top up the tanks?" She asks with a smug smile.

"Uh... no." She starts. "Powers down, so the compressors were off." Melia clears her throat.

It wasn't a total lie?

"So, you're sneaking onto our boat at 5:00am with... empty tanks?" She asks, tilting her head with a smile plastered onto her face. "I'll make sure to tell Ward."

"Okay, okay." She says, turning and walking up to the sliding doors of the boat. She suddenly hesitates and turns back around.

"Actually, you know what- What exactly are you gonna tell your dad?" Melia asks with a small chuckle.

"Nothing much." Sarah says, pursing her lips. "Just that you poached our scuba gear."

"Okay, fuck. I simply borrowed it for a few hours!" She says, lifting her hands up. "Okay? And then I brought it back, intact and unharmed."
