Her stomach was filled with butterflies, she carefully moved one of her legs to be straddling over the top of him.

She fumbled with his shirt, attempting to unbutton it without looking, still kissing the boy. She needed this.

He pulls away gently, smiling at her. "Are you sure you wanna do this, Lia?" He asks.

After everything that had happened, the last thing he wanted to do was take advantage of her, he didn't want her to think he was like Rafe.

She smiles, pressing another soft kiss to his lips.

"I'm sure."

The two blondes lay panting beside one another on Melia's bed.

"Holy-"

"Shit." JJ finishes for her, letting out a small laugh. He turns his head to be looking at her.

She smiles softly, scooching closer to him to rest her head against his chest, she was still catching her breath.

"So..." She starts.

"So." He lets out a small laugh, rubbing circles onto her shoulder.

"Can't really pretend like this one was a mistake..." She mumbles, pulling the bed covers over the top of their bodies.

"Got a point there, cupcake." He smiles, pushing some of the hair that was stuck to her face behind her ears. He takes a minute to study her face.

"You know, you really do get a post-sex glow." He jokes, grinning like a child.

Melia groans, hiding her face into his chest.

They sit there contently for a few minutes, all that could be heard in the room was the birds chirping outside and the sound of their breathing.

"What.." She pauses.

"What does this mean, Jay?" Melia asks, looking up into his eyes.

"It means whatever you want it to. I'm not forcing you into anything, what you say goes." He smiles sweetly.

There was a different side of JJ, a sweet side, and Melia always brought that out in him.

She sighs softly, drawing shapes onto his chest with her index finger.

"I think.. I think there's too much happening right now to decide." She replies, focusing on her finger.

JJ nods, unsure of where things were going.

"But, I definitely don't want to stop whatever we just did. A second into kissing you just made me forget everything. A sense of safety washed over me, and I need that, Jay." She explains, looking up to him, a small sad look in her eye.

"I understand." He says quietly, pressing a kiss to her forehead.

"We don't need to make anything official, Lia. This can be our secret, and we can tell people when we are both ready."
