Curling a ladies sew in, hearing the song Water by Tyla all I can think about is the other night. She really just popped up in my face after a year and just showed up. And she looked so bad. Like really bad I thought to myself.
"Damn girl you just burnt the fuck out of me" my client said pulling away
"I'm so sorry, oh girl I'm sorry" I said looking at where I burnt her to make sure she wasn't bleeding or anything
"Are you okay" my client asked
"Eh a close friend of mine popped after her after a year of us not talking so I'm in my head right now about it. I am seriously sorry" I said running my fingers through her hair
"Oh damn and girl you are okay. We all have our moments. I'll see you next time" my client said before getting up and zelling her money to me
I saw that I had a text from both Yosohn and Dave
"Papa👩👦: Mama can we have steak for dinner?
Mama 👩👦: Get off your phone in school and I'll have dinner prepared by the time you get home
Dave💙: I love you mamas
Ariii ♥️: I love you too and I got to talk to you when I get home. Nothing bad just a lot in my mind
Dave 💙: alright, I'll pick up sonson, you go home
Putting my phone up. I saw my last client walking in making me look at the clock because his appointment wasn't until 2:30 and it's 2:00
"Hey girl sorry I'm a little early" my client said
"Hey boo and you are fine, do you know what you want this time" I said running my fingers through his thick curly hair
"Just my normal pop smoke braids and when are you going to put a barber shop in here, damn. I need to see the niggassss" he said making me laugh walking him towards the wash room
"I'm thinking about it, not all the way sure yet. You know mixing bitches & niggas together ain't always a good idea" I said applying the water to his hair
"Mhmmm well Ill be happy if you do, bc I hate coming here and then have to leave and go to my barber" he said closing his eyes
"I promise I'll think about it" I said applying shampoo
Hour later...
"And you are done sir" I said turning him to the mirror so he could see his self
"Yesss bad bitch and this is why I come to you. The niggas gonna be all on me. Where Tuson at???" He said making me laugh
"Uhh uhhhh get out of here" I said laughing. Cleaning my area station, walking upstairs to my office.Doing paperwork and ordering things that the shop is low on. I heard the door open and close
"MAMAAAAA" Yosohn and Amoura yelled together making me smile and begetting up out my chair walking down stairs to the middle of the salon
"Heyyy my babies. Hey baby" I said kissing them all
"We missed you so we came to see you" Yosohn said sitting on my lap
"I was on my way home, I just have to finish up some things" I said hugging Yosohn
"We'll finish it at home we ready for you to come home" Dave said holding Amoura
"Okay I'm coming, I'm coming" I said grabbing my purse and we walked out of the shop, locking the doors
At Home
Dave POV
"So what you have to talk to me about" I asked as Ari came out the bathroom with a honey mask on her face
"Well the other night as I was closing a girl walked in and she looked very bad like really bad but as she was talking to me. I realized it was Jayda" she said looking at the city out of of window
"Jayda as in Dominique Jayda" I asked confused
"Yes, that Jayda and she asked if we could reconnect and talk but I don't know how to feel about it. I mean I love her still and she was my best friend, but she just up and left with NO explanation or nothing and now all of a sudden want to walk in the shop as if we buddy buddy" she said on the verge of crying
"Hey hey no need to cry, but if I was you o would reach out to her and see what's going on, or what happened. But give it some time. Don't do it now because knowing you, you will say some shit that you don't mean" I said hugging her
"Okay okay I guess. Buuut I was thinking we should relocate. Like move to another state, start fresh." She said looking at me nervously
"Why? You have your friends, family, and business here. WHO going to take care of that while you in another state" I asked as I finished rolling my blunt up
"I mean I can take care of my business or put somebody in charge and pop in occasionally or as for my friends and family. They'll be alright. They can come to wherever we are and visit" she said coming out the bathroom with nothing but my shift on, that looked like a dress on her
"So where are you thinking and when do you want to move" I asked blowing out the smoke through my noise
"I'm thinking during the summer and either Huston or Miami" she said laying in my chest
"Mmm we will talk more about it if you are serious" I said turning in Martin
"Okay, that's fair enough" she said
"But seriously just think about talking to Jayda and hear her out, see where her mind was/is at and go from there. Not saying y'all have to be the best of friends but just talk to each other" I said putting the blunt out kissing Ari a kiss
"Okay I hear you" she said putting her attention back on Martin
