Lily finds James regressed and doesn't totally get what is going on but is supportive anyway and keeps James safe.
James POV
Remus and Sirius argue the rest of the day, Peter is with Mary, and I'm by myself, a third wheel to my arguing best friends.
They argue on and on, until I give up and go off to hide behind a sofa in the common room. I feel my mind shrink until I'm six years old again. I magically make dinosaurs out of scraps of paper, humming to myself. If only my dinosaur toys weren't packed away in my trunk in the dorm.
"Where's James? Potter, I need help with this Transfiguration essay, you can gloat later...oh." She finds me behind the couch, looking amused.
The humor vanishes into concern, and she joins me. I wave, showing her my dinosaurs. Lily smiles at them and asks, "Are you alright?"
I exclaim, "Dinosaurs!"
She giggles. "I see that. Where are you going? Get back here, silly!"
She catches me by the wrist before I can try jumping on a table. Pouting, I flop onto the couch. "Hmph!"
"James, you might hurt yourself. Are you hungry?"
I nod, bouncing on the sofa. Wheeee, this is fun! Giggling, I motion for her to join me. She simply snickers and shakes her head. Whatever, more fun for me!
I eventually get food with her and sit by her for dinner instead of Remus and Sirius. Swinging my legs, I play with my paper dinosaurs and give them some food too.

I'm getting ready for bed when Sirius and Remus finally make up...loudly. I groan and cover my ears. "Yucky!"
They stop and Remus nervously grins. "Sorry, James and Peter."
I shrug and take my dinosaurs out of my trunk when they aren't looking. Giggling, I make them march across my bed. That's very fun until I yawn, and realize my tummy hurts.
Whimpering, I curl up on my bed, hugging Mr. Dinosaur. I'm closing my eyes and praying my tummy stops hurting when a hand ruffles my hair.
"You okay? You've been whimpering for an hour now." Sirius asks.
I open my eyes and say sadly, "Tummy hurts."
