A/N: "You Are My Sunshine" Piano Cover

*Married Life Human AU*

Keefe's POV:

It was a cold winter evening, and the fire crackled softly in the fireplace, casting a warm glow on the room. Sophie curled up on the couch, completely engrossed in her favorite book. Her eyes moved swiftly across the pages; her face illuminated by the soft light of the lamp beside her.

I glanced at her, a gentle smile forming on my lips. Sophie and I had been married for five years now, and every day I fell more in love with her. She was the sunshine in my life, bringing warmth and joy to every moment we spent together.

As I watched her, an overwhelming sense of love washed over me. I wanted to express my feelings, to let her know how much she meant to me. So, I leaned in closer, my voice barely above a whisper.

"You are my sunshine, my love," I murmured, hoping she could hear my words in the silence of the room.

Sophie looked up from her book, her brown eyes sparkling with genuine surprise. A smile tugged at the corners of her lips, and she closed the book, setting it aside.

"You're too sweet, Keefe," she said, her voice filled with a mix of adoration and disbelief. "Even after all these years, you still know how to make me feel special."

I took a seat beside her and gently cupped her face in my hands, my thumbs caressing her soft cheeks. "Sophie, you mean the world to me," I spoke earnestly. "Your smile brightens even the gloomiest of days. Your laughter fills my heart with an indescribable joy. I am grateful every day that you chose me to be by your side."

Sophie's eyes glistened with tears, and she reached up to intertwine her fingers with mine. "I am the lucky one, Keefe," she whispered. "You are my anchor, my rock. You've shown me what true love is, and I can't imagine my life without you."

We sat in silence for a while, basking in the warmth of our love. The subtle crackling of the fireplace and the soft murmur of the wind outside seemed to fade away as our connection deepened. In that moment, nothing else mattered except the love we shared.

As the evening wore on, we moved closer to each other, our bodies entwined in a gentle embrace. Sophie rested her head against my chest, listening to the steady beat of my heart.

"You know, Sophie," I murmured softly, "no matter what life throws at us, we'll always have this. Our love is our sanctuary, our safe haven."

She looked up at me, her eyes filled with tenderness. "And we'll always be each other's sunshine, Keefe," she said. "In the brightest of days and in the darkest of nights."

Together, we sat there, cocooned in our love, as the chilly evening turned into a peaceful night. And as we drifted off to sleep, I couldn't help but feel grateful for the love that had brought us together and the bond that would keep us forever connected.
