A/N: One-shot dedicated to my story "Her Secret Admirer" This does NOT spoil the book. :D

Sophie's POV:

I couldn't help but feel a twinge of excitement as I walked into school that morning. Today was the day I would finally find out who my secret admirer was. For weeks, little hints and surprises had been appearing in my locker, on my desk, and even at my front door. But the sender had always remained anonymous, leaving me wondering who could be behind these sweet gestures.

As I settled into my seat in the classroom, I glanced around, looking for any signs of who it could be. My best friend, Keefe, sat a few desks away, giving me a sly smirk. Could it be him? We had been friends for as long as I could remember, but I had never considered the possibility of anything more than that.

The day dragged on, filled with lectures and assignments. My mind drifted away, lost in thoughts of who my admirer could be. The anticipation was starting to get to me, and I could hardly wait for the final bell to ring so I could find out the answer.

Finally, the moment arrived. I retrieved my bag and made my way to my locker, only to find a single red rose lying on top. My heart fluttered with excitement as I picked it up, inhaling its sweet fragrance. Carefully attached to the stem was a small note that simply read, "Meet me at the park after school. I'll be waiting."

I practically skipped through the halls, my thoughts consumed by the mystery of my secret admirer. The park was just a few blocks away from school, and as I approached, I saw a figure waiting for me on a bench, their back turned towards me. My heart pounded in my chest as I called out their name, "Keefe?"

He turned towards me, a nervous smile tugging at the corners of his lips. "Hey, Sophie," he said, his voice full of anticipation.

I approached him cautiously, my eyes searching his face for answers. "Is it you?" I asked, my voice barely above a whisper.

He nodded, a blush creeping up his cheeks. "Yeah, it's me. I'm your secret admirer."

I couldn't help but feel a mix of surprise and delight. Keefe had always been my confidant, my partner in crime, but I had never imagined he would see me as anything more than a friend. "Why didn't you just tell me?" I asked, my voice filled with curiosity.

He sighed, his gaze dropping to the ground. "I wanted to do something special for you, something that would show you how much you mean to me. But I was scared of ruining our friendship. I didn't want to risk losing you."

I took a step closer, placing a hand on his arm. "Keefe, you could never lose me. We've been through so much together. I value our friendship, but I can't deny that there's something more here. Something that's been growing between us."

A smile tugged at his lips, and he reached out to take my hand in his. "I've been feeling the same way, Sophie. I just didn't know how to say it. I'm sorry for all the secrecy."

I shook my head, letting out a soft laugh. "No apologies necessary, Keefe. You've shown me more than words ever could with your sweet gestures. And now, I can safely say that my secret admirer is the one I've had by my side all along."

His eyes sparkled with joy, his grip on my hand tightening. "Does this mean... we're more than friends now?"

I nodded, feeling a warmth spreading through my chest. "Yes, Keefe. I think we are."

As we sat there on the bench, surrounded by the beauty of the park, we began to share our hopes, dreams, and fears. The air buzzed with the newfound realization of our deeper connection, as we navigated the uncharted waters of a romantic relationship. And in that moment, I couldn't imagine a more perfect ending to our story.

From that day on, Keefe became more than just my best friend - he became the love of my life. Our secret admirer game may have ended, but the adventure of our relationship had just begun. And no matter where life took us, facing it together made it all the more extraordinary.
